My article about building your own soft companion bot is now out in @makemagazine Vol 88. I'm especially proud to be published along with some of the absolutely coolest makers I know. @charlyn has a uniquely gorgeous pixel clock on the cover, @LaserMistress built a clever and disruptive portable graffiti projector, and @Leeborg has an amazing functional scaled-up Ouija board. I'm in great company!

Here are a few photos from the first soldering workshop we held in our space a week ago Thursday - it was so much fun! Robyn and I had a great time, the attendees were all smiling and delighted with their soldering, it was such an energy boost! Setting up my wearables installation with the CETI Institute in the Lloyd center (old GAP storefront) for the Portland Winter Lights Festival. Just need to clean up and tape down the power wires now. Super duper happy this morning to receive a GORGEOUS flower clock from @maketvee. It is hard to describe how stunning it is in person, and it comes with interchangeable faceplates, and can run in clock mode (right) or pattern mode.

This project started with a simple idea to use my new hat press (Michael's impulse purchase) to iron flowers onto a baseball cap, but somehow (🤷) expanded in scope. The LEDs were inevitable.
