@amerika I meant more the game theory perspective where you manipulate input variables to get the desired outcome in a fuzzy function. The metric measured could be all sorts of things.
@amerika ah, I think we are thinking of gamifying different variables. You are trying to manipulate the common narrative, where I was just thinking of maximizing follower count. Yours makes perfect sense now!
@Baishujinkou in the future, taking acetylcysteine a couple hours before drinking can prevent a hangover
@amerika smart! Why not have a single poster with posts in different languages? That way you can centralize the follows into one account.
There's also the question of why someone would gamify Mastodon if it can't be monetized. Why would follower count matter?
Then again, upvotes on reddit don't matter yet people chase them.
Also what media would be best? Text? Pictures? Video?
Reposting memes would probably work, but could you get a monetizable audience this way?
@thor when letting friends or family borrow anything, it's best to never expect it to come back or to come back damaged. That way if it never gets back to you, your feelings won't be hurt but you know never to let them borrow anything else again.
We've had family members borrow money and never give it back. C'est la vie, no skin off our back, but we won't do it again either.
@resynth1943 no it's not a scandal, the media are just comprised of vultures who make their money off of outrage.
@resynth1943 as president, he's a role model. To smoke complicates his image and would increase the likelihood that people who look up to him would start smoking.
If you are a prepper, I highly recommend this over more expensive weapons or other larp equipment. A $1500 gun has marginal improvements over a $500 gun and requires significant training to reap the befits, while this can be used with just a few hours of practice.
@cowanon no, where?
@11112011 if you think I'm being unproductively antagonistic with him, then I'll cut that shit out for sure.
@11112011 @judgedread nah. Everyone needs to learn how to argue convincingly somehow, and everyone needs to go through their bull-in-a-chinashop phase.
@judgedread yes it teaches you how to use google
When we see something on the news that we know about, we always think "That's not right!" We then forget about that and believe everything else we see.
