It's good that progress is being made. We just need to try to prevent causing anti-white racism in the process. Whites will be a minority by 2040. Cultural changes and trends will have a big impact on then, just as the cultural changes of the 70's resonate through today.

@akeno
Oh so they're conspiracy theorists grasping at any sense of control they can muster to compensate for their distrust in other people and sense of hopelessness.
That makes sense. Thanks!

@LuigiEsq@mastodon.social
If someone assaults someone else with a rifle, they risk getting shot. That's the whole purpose behind the 2nd amendment(that and giving the populous the capacity to push back against a tyrannical government. And disincentivizing invasion).

@valerauko
I recommend downloading fewer pictures of shit, Dropbox probably think they look too smelly.
Legit though, I don't have issues with Google Drive.

@dan
Yeah I recently moved back to KDE because of this kind of stuff. I tried it years ago and didn't like it, but it was actually quite usable this time.

@11112011
Yeah but I'm pretty sure you've got to jump through hoops, that filters a lot of the crazies. We don't. I hunted at the age of 11 with a rifle and bought a semi-automatic AK47 the same day when I was 17.

@11112011
I have before. Hunt with it every year, and I wield it when I think someone's breaking in.
It might be nice if nobody had guns, but here, all the bad guys have them so I've gotta be ready.

@akeno
What are the protests about? Why are they protesting?

@dcbiker
Trouble is that we know how this virus works. COVID is a respiratory virus that binds to ACE-2 receptors in your lungs. Masks capture mucus particles that would otherwise be floating in the air. Areas with good mask compliance have considerably lower rates of COVID than areas with poor compliance.

There is plenty of legitimate abuse of power in the government and stuff, but I don't really think this is one of them.

@Keef
People nowadays are so focused on the mentality of "if it doesn't hurt anyone else then it should be allowed and supported!" This while ignoring the long-term impact that such reinforcement has on the individual, their social status, and overall wellbeing.

@11112011
Since you recognize this, what are you doing to prepare?
I've got enough cryptocurrencies, ammo, and silver to make it to Canada if shit _really_ hits the fan, though I don't expect it to get that bad.

@11112011
The fed announced that it will be shooting for inflation higher than 2%. This means quantitative easing, plus they recently gained the right to make stock and bond purchases.
The bull market isn't going anywhere... But our buying power is

@i3x@mstdn.social
Because network effects and somewhat high barrier to installation means most people won't install it. Plus it's really difficult to monetize F-droid apps. No payment option means less of an incentive to make useful, well-maintained apps.

@dcbiker
Corporations(particularly insurance companies) don't want universal healthcare, companies in general don't want a higher minimum wage. Renters don't want cheaper housing.

@milan
Yeah that's windows for you.
You might open an administrative command prompt and type "sfc /scannow", it cleans up a lot of OS corruption(I do this as a day job)

@cowanon
The vast majority of Americans have 2-3 comorbidities.
The death rate only spiked in Italy when the hospitals were overrun, which is why the goal was to flatten the curve instead of squash the entire infection out.
