Is the notion of "gifted children" still a thing? It seems to fly in the face of the growth mindset.

@peterdrake Makes sense to me. Are we really going to pretend some kids arent gifted in part due to their genes? We cant deny reality.

@freemo @peterdrake super intelligent kids are not quite gifted, they can be socially excluded, have problems being accepted in their families, school
If you are diagnosed with it, you can suffer even more pressure from everywhere to achieve incredible things
We always think that it would be a blessing to have high intelligent or burdensome to have low intelligent but they are very similar out of the norm people and they can suffer a lot because of it
TL:DR: it's not being gifted, it's being hyper intelligent, and it's very similar with being low intelligent in many ways, and the support is hard to accomplish
