Too many studies assume that the experiences of white teens are universal amongst all teens.

However, what's seldom realized is that People of Colour (POCs) approach social media from a different perspective.

Surrealism was extremely influenced by Indigenous people and colonialism.

Lots to discuss here when it comes to the notion of discovery, cultural growth and change, the replication of culture, and appropriation. From art, to science, entire schools of thought changed with global colonialism. How much of the "enlightenment" expressed by Europeans and yt Americans (the whole of both continents) can be attributed to Indigenous people? Same with democracy, feminism, equity, scientific method, sociology, a total revolution in the European ideal coincides with the destruction and appropriation of thousands of global Indigenous cultures.

Today is the Day of Remembrance for the Japanese American community. 81 years ago today, when I was just a boy of four, FDR signed Executive Order 9066, setting in motion the evacuation of people of Japanese descent from the West Coast and our long years of internment inside ten barbed wire prison camps.

We must never let such a thing happen again in America, and and we must strive everywhere to prevent the forced relocation and mass incarceration of innocent people. #NeverForget #NeverAgain

Wow. WaPo digs into why the South has the lowest credit scores in the country (adding to individual consumers' borrowing costs, freezing then out of credit at all). The answer: Medical debt. Because the South didn't expand Medicaid.
