Trump dines with a Holocaust denier and it doesn’t make the front page of the New York Times. That's an example of what I call "ethics norming”: Actions that would create big scandals in the past are considered routine now. Decent people hold onto their capacity for outrage, but mainstream media think indecency by major political figures isn't news if it happens a lot.

Where were these so called journalists when nurses were warning about patient safety due to lack of staff & emergency capacity? We are taking this drastic action because nobody is listening FFS! Perhaps if they’d reported on it this could’ve been averted. #SafeStaffingSavesLives

New #introduction - I’m a geoscientist working for NGI in Oslo, Norway, modelling tsunami and landslides. I am a seismologist and follow earthquakes and other geophysical developments. Interested in astronomy, climate, life sciences, and science communication. Passionate about music from opera to minimalism to 70s rock. Go to concerts when time and money allow. Enjoy sharing moments from Norway and elsewhere. I try to do the right thing and am aware that I don’t always succeed. Wonderful family!
One of my pals told me my Twitter comments were as viscous as AOC and Nancy Pelosi. I though everyone’s were like that! I just got used to it. As much as you can. It’s nothing short of astounding to me that I can just post and engage on here and people respond in a way that seems normal and real. The Twitter comments world is distorted and dangerous. I don’t see how twitter can be fixed. We’re better off here. ❤️
@Merlin I can't understand what is so hard about masking up. It saves lives and it couldn't be easier. I am tired of being looked at strangely for wearing one. I get stares, yet I am one of the few people I know who has stayed well!!
Apparently for some reason itis #TweetAFrog day? So here is the best drawing of a frog ever done, by Itō Jakucha in 1790, and my recreation of this magnificent beast as a pottery jug, WIP and complete.
