@freemo I remember when 1 meg was a lot. When 100 megs was a huge hard drive...
@JonKramer keep in mind im talking about 160 gigs/256 of **memory** not hard drive here.. which as you know would have been bonkers back then, even now its a little crazy
@freemo ya, I know. I had 512K of ram on my Amiga, upgraded to 1M! I remember a buddy bragging he had 32M in the mid 90s, and my windows machine had 8M. The cluster I built in 2002 had 512M per node... 40 nodes. Your machine is INSANE. And I love it.
@JonKramer Wait till you see the GPU's I have... 4 frontier eddition (water cooled) VEGA GPUs
@freemo , minecraft will ROCK!
@JonKramer "look at the definition on those pixles, the edges are perfect 90 degree angles!"
I remember when...
a guy showed me his new S-100 bus memory card with 256K of RAM, and I said, "What do you need all that memory for?"
(my first computer had 32K of RAM because I couldn't afford the full 48K.)
@Pat @JonKramer Hahaha, good ol' days
@freemo I used to have an advertisement from about 1982, advertising a 100 meg hd, on sale for $17,000. I had a doctor converting all her patients' records to CD in about 1992, who was so proud to show off her $20K CD burner... it's amazing how much has changed. The MOSFET has to be the most influential invention of the 20th century.
