@trinsec ya, indoor only cats. If I remember right, he had a stroke or some other instant death, and naturally stopped feeding them. Eventually, the cats got hungry. It was quite the topic of conversation among those who knew him for awhile.

My original point though... there is no reason to waste so much time and emotional effort on Musk. Eventually, his cats will have him too. Or he will end up like Howard Hughes in a Vegas penthouse collecting bottles of his own urine.

@plenartowicz I understand you position, and even largely agree. However, I feel that individual rights and choice supersede or overwrite societies responsibility. We, as a society, can and SHOULD offer help. We should never demand people accept it.

Every year on this date, my wife and I have a tradition, we both try to be the 1st to say 'happy anniversary' to the other and then complain the other forgot. This has led to some fun pranks, like last year me hiding in the kitchen for her to come out, walk past me, so I could get the jump on her. Or buying pens to write on mirrors "I win" messages.

This year, I told her that her present was that I was going to let her say it 1st.

32 years now, and we still laugh and have fun.

@plenartowicz That guy made his choices. I feel many of his choices were driving by mental issues he failed to address. He made it impossible for people to care about him. This isn't the fault of others, or society.

Many years ago I knew a guy, who I am reminded of with the Elon Musk news. This guy was apparently a pretty good software engineer, and people either liked him, or thought he was a creepy SOB. I knew the guy, but never thought much of him, good or bad. I did have many people come to me to complain about the guy, and several say he was a sweetheart. At times he would go off on abusive tantrums blaming people for his own issues. I was targeted by him like this once... But honestly I didn't care.

Fast forward several years, and his went missing. And no one noticed. For WEEKS, I mean, his boss and co-workers didn't notice. His family didn't. Eventually someone went around his house and found out his house cats had been eating him.

If EM didn't have vast amounts of cash, no one would pay attention to him. Just because he DOES, doesn't mean we have to.

Leave him to his cats, in your mind, and reality.

@Strandjunker , I'm not sure I want middle school students reading 'Camp of the Saints' or 'The Turner Diaries.' I don't know how to make this a rule to follow in general, but I can accept there are lines that I feel should not be crossed.

@BeckyBunzy I think many of the accounts I followed will not migrate, but that's OK, because I will find new accounts to follow. This isn't the 1st time a platform has failed. Remember AOL? Myspace? Facebook?? We move on, and find new people who post thirst pics. ;)

@westslopemel , my son 2 years after the event still can't smell or taste things. Who knows what other damage he sustained... You are very lucky, and hope you keep taking precautions.

It was the reinstatement of Kanye that tipped the scales for me.

It is hard to get people to understand that those folks they have been chatting with for years are enabling that dirty guy screaming for you to take your top off, and leaving marks. They can't pay their tab and leave yet. I don't know how to help them see.

@kathygriffin I am doing a deep investigation into the source of the red fibers in the lint in my belly-button. I am vastly entertained, and discovered a t-shirt I had been missing for awhile.

I will say, there are very few artists that I respect more than you, for your work, and for your actions outside of work. Shout out to Cloney, but for marrying Amal Clooney. :)
