@lavenderlens , I find myself terrified that the insane will discover how much more deadly spraying gasoline on people and tossing a match at them is. In the US, the largest school killing in our history was done that way. Club Q shows that if you use a gun, at least against adult, it can be taken from you and used to beat you to the point your mother won't recognize you.

@antares I think torturing the cussed is a perfectly acceptable activity. I got innocent teachers plugging in movie projectors, janitors plugging in vacuums, and any poor random undeserving souls I could target. For about a month, the school was plagued with this. I was horrid. I don't know why I suddenly remembered this, but I did this.

I just remembered something horrible I did in middle school. I took basic electronics, which meant we did things like learn how to wind an electric motor. So we had really thin copper wire... which we quickly learned was great to wrap a invisible strand around things that needed to be plugged in... Not sure WHY I remember that, and I feel guilty about laughing at the memory...

@godpod @georgetakei , but it wasn't. One may be messy, but in a few days, you're over it. another you can just ignore and leave their businesses. Politicians you are stuck with for years, if not decades, and their corruption for life.

@tonic @freemo I believe the failure of twitter was mostly the fact the users didn't block enough people. They instead, shared garbage, and generated outrage.

I just asked "what laws do you think would stop people from killing children" thinking I was talking on a STEM server and the people who think like scientists... and got screamed at. I apologized, pointed out my error, and got screamed at and insulted further.

I really don't relate well with people who don't use math every day.

@Krassenstein , your ban was an example of the failure of the old guard on Twitter. And a good reason to support the Musk takeover.

The trump reinstatement is proof of 2 things: that Musk is incapable of rational choices, and Twitter no longer has a functioning legal team.

The train wreck is uncomfortable to watch, as it harms many who wish to stay untouched by the fallout.

I am trying Blue Apron meal service, and I have to say I enjoy it. I'll start with complaining...

Lots of packaging. Lots of waste plastic. The selection isn't wide. I think many like spicier foods than I do.

OK, the good stuff, and this is short, but enough to keep me spending roughly $12 per serving: I am finding joy in cooking again. The meals are quick and simple, with instructions that even a novice can follow. But adding the premeasured oregano adds to the senses in ways I stopped doing years ago because I got lazy. I used to keep fresh garlic, and a jar of capers, etc. I stopped.

In brief, it made cooking fun again. Worth it.

@freemo , might I suggest a bit of all encompassing language for consideration? "We will heavily moderate any content depicting violent, forceful, non consensual activities." Or words to that effect. This can cover abuse of animals, war, violent fights, and rape. Or any other non consensual activity, without having to generate a comprehensive list. It makes it hard to say "but you won't moderate ____" if it is any form of abuse. It may help undercut objections.
