@trinsec , This joke is so Jewish that only Jews will ever understand it. Which is how Seinfeld set up the joke.... He told it to a pair of other people, the Jew snorted, the Gentile looked totally perplexed. It was GOLD! Gold Jerry, GOLD!
But, in general, no Jew would answer "great!" They would complain. Even if they had a million dollar day.
@alfredo_liberal@universeodon.com No, you grant immunity to the underlings to testify against the bosses you want, you don't lock the underlings up and then avoid prosecuting slam dunk cases against those you are really going after. Tre45on should have been in prison starting Jan 20th, 2020, for his part in the Stormy Daniels case. That was already tested IN COURT and got a conviction. It was an absolute slam dunk that should have gotten him at least 3 years.
Had that been done, the security risk of his hoarding stolen documents would have been nipped in the bud, and the feds searched his shit before he went to prison. But instead, here we are, looking forward to a few more years of court proceedings, with a good possibility that he will win office again and just pardon himself.
@GrimmReality , We all try the easy way once or twice.
@geos I think I have developed a lack of trust, and little reason to extend trust.
@benjaminwittes @lawfare really. I have an exceptionally hard time believing that. This just seems to be a plan. Why include a spot on an indictment stating a minimum if the odds that there isn't one is so high? Why not pick a charge with a minimum jail time? Why wait 2 years for what amounts to a fine?
Maybe I lack trust in the system... but why should I trust it?
@benjaminwittes @lawfare what are the odds that NONE of the indictments would have a minimum? I am highly skeptical that this wasn't by design. Especially with the famous law signed by trump with a 5 year minimum that seems taylor made for one of these charges...
@johndporter @georgetakei I'm not sure what an alternate system would look like.
@benjaminwittes so the minimum is zero days in prison. I wonder how that happened, that those are what the DOJ decided to go with.
@SNerd yes, but if you take months to do it, you can't claim the honorific.
@futurebird I wouldn't call the bathroom ugly... it just looks like a hotel bathroom, in a place that is trying to not be Motel 6.
@benjaminwittes what is missing is the minimum trump can be penalized if found guilty. Which is what I suspect will be the case.
@UncleDuke1969 , OK, frog.
BS in Physics. Will not tolerate hate. I am active here and on Post.
