@Karthikdeva Hopefully no major riot or anything after the verdict man.
Supreme Court of India : Inappropriate to decide on Faith. (Still waiting for final verdict) #AyodhyaVerdict
#AyodhyaVerdict boils downs to whether we can still consider India as an uncompromised democracy or a Hindu Rashtra (Hindu Nationalism) which gives importances to myths and religion than facts. (At least for me)
@Sunnyp_1407 Pure Propaganda vehicles.
#AyodhyaVerdict is being read out currently.
@Sunnyp_1407 People still watch News Channels in India??? Especially a channel like Republic .
@Warhorse Cant overrule anything these days
Schools in Delhi, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Jammu to be closed as Supreme Court delivers Ayodhya verdict tomorrow
What an absolute shame. How weak are our institutions that we can't even guarantee fundamental rights to our citizens just because of a land dispute case.
How sad

One of the reasons why Twitter sucks in India.
A government institution can threaten you and block you for opposing.
Everytime a new group joins QOTO I like to upload new emoji that celebrate that group.
We have LGBT emoji
We have the anti-censorship and pro free-speech exodus
The facebook exodus (during hearings)
The liberals
The conservatives
I feel like its only fitting with our huge inflow of new friends from India that we find some emojis to honor them. I am taking suggestions!
Indians are tired of Twitter's censorship and are looking for an alternative platform
@artisticphilosopher@mastodon.social @_lunawinters If we did succeed in taking a movie, it'll be censored / the directors (us) will be lynched by so called religious warriors that are dressed like Nazis in trousers :)
And hopefully things go smooth tomorrow, as the government has 'taken' lot of efforts to curb violence.
@artisticphilosopher@mastodon.social @_lunawinters Well, before I start i just want to say that i don't endorse or believe in any religion originated from earth.
Ayodhya is a city located in UP, North India. It was 'believed' to be the birth place of Rama (One of the famous Hindu God). So sometime around early 1500s, first mughal emperor built a mosque in Ayodhya, cuz he can?. The place was highly critiqued ever since and dispute began around 1850s by the Hindu community. They wanted to build a 'Rama' temple.
So fast forward to 1992, a huge group of Hindus actually took over and demolished the mosque manually.( A lot of factors are involved obviously )
So the verdict on whether the place belongs to Hindus/ Muslims/ Shared territory will be known tomorrow after almost three decades.
@atul1994 'You know who' does all this. There are people who actually benefit from such riots.
'You know who' = The same people who lynch minorities for eating beef, or marrying from different caste, or speaking against their leader / Just opposing them in general, etc, etc.
@_lunawinters Scary times ahead.
@Karthikdeva oh man, I just got goosebumps reading this😂
@realcaseyrollins
