In other news, #Gentoo #Bugzilla now has a new 500 page that's specially dedicated to the broken error handling in #Mozilla #Firefox file uploads. Hopefully this will reduce the number of bug reports we're receiving from users confused by it.

There's still a question why people are using browser that can't implement error handling for 15 years, to access their sensitive data. But then, all browsers are of similar quality.

@timurkaS @nullstreak Здравствуйте! нас, незрячих, здесь уже точно человек 10 есть в русскоязычном пространстве. Мы и пишем, и читаем, и нам очень приятно, когда картинки снабжаются хотя бы минимальной подписью. Я бы не хотела, чтобы такие описания делались по принуждению. Только от души. Никто никого не может заставить. Но… Это так приятно! Начинаешь чувствовать себя более равным, более желанным, что ли… Начинаешь понимать, что ты имеешь доступ к той информации, к которой каждый зрячий имеет доступ по умолчанию. Я активно привожу #mastadon Незрячих друзей, так что нас станет ещё больше. :-)

i bought a second hand semi-ded UPS for dirt cheap, replaced battery and MCU filter caps, and it was great
worked like that for 5 years or so
then it was away from me for half a year in unknown condition and then transported to me
it came with dead battery
bought a new battery, plugged it in, seemed good
incidentally unplugged the battery when it was plugged in a working (but not loaded) UPS, and something exploded inside with a nice bang and flash
have no clue why
disassembly shown a fried MOSFET
not sure if it makes any sense to try to fix it
but sadly .me is not Moscow, so can't buy loads of used UPSes for dirt cheap
the fried one is at the right: tinystash.undef.im/il/4Z7EYDuS
no idea what it feeds, so no clue why opening it would cause a short
also some sus deposit, couldn't identify the culprit: tinystash.undef.im/il/2QpKK6BD
i wonder if it makes sense to dig any further or if i should write it off and buy a brand new one

Напечатал демпфирующие прокладки для крепления шаговиков из TPU (и укороченные спейсеры из ABS) - принтер стал ГОРАЗДО тише.
