Things are extremely scary over on the birdsite, and I don't pretend to have all the answers. But I do know that calling for Apple and Google to outright ban apps used by millions of people for all kinds of important things is ... playing with fire and not in line with global human rights. Pushing for moderate at that level of the stack is not going to lead to more safety for LGBTQ+ people or other marginalized folks. It's gonna get us censored & silenced. Sending love to my ppl. I get it

@evangreer Which "global human right" involves access to Twitter?

Let it burn. It's just a service offered by a company. There are other companies and other services people can use.

@LouisIngenthron
On the one hand, the loss of Twitter will leave a void; on the other hand, that void is an opportunity for better things to arise in Twitter's place.
