Need a process for translating real-life problems into Google Sheets solutions? Try this Socrates-inspired approach. I had a lot of fun with this and figured you might, too! 🙂 blog.tcea.org/sheets/ #EduTooter #Education #Socrates #Polya #TCEA #spreadsheets @edutooters

Another note for new #TwitterMigration folks like me: social norms here are that we don’t censor names like “Musk.” It shouldn’t be necessary, because full-text search isn’t really a thing and trolls are actually moderated.

If content is potentially offensive, put it behind a CW, but don’t “c*nsor” it because this breaks people’s filters (i.e., prevents them from being able to mute words).

I created my avatar with Google Drawings during a virtual paint nite on YouTube:

It's goofy, but was fun to make!

Did you know that when you put .rss behind your Mastodon profile URL, you get an RSS feed? 😎

@MrsDi I also have a few plugins that I use, I've bookmarked them all here:

My favorites are:
- Simple Gmail Notes.
- Short Gmail Labels
- Gmail-Rightlabel

And the number one that I just cannot live without anymore:

- Dark Reader

This Chrome extension, Save image as Type, has been so useful lately.

A fedi-tip or whatever it's called for people that follow a fuck-ton of people by accident like me:
Make a "friends" list of the people you're closest to and mostly follow that instead (add it as a tab in Tusky, or a column in the advanced web view, or whatever your app can do), and dip into the regular following list for a few mins while you're waiting for the kettle to boil or something. Much nicer and more meaningful connections, and best of both worlds really x

In October, I wanted to provide some ideas that could be used right away. This one was for teachers - sometimes I do a series geared more towards support staff.

I'm finding that searching for people is difficult when I can only see their handle/avatar and header. So, I'm exploring creating a header w/some info for easy viewing.

Let's try posting a resource like I might as a bird of blue -
"Looking for the perfect illustration?

(looks like a link doesn't pull in a visual automatically - I'll have to attach one separately).

KEEP IN MIND! #Mastodon doesn't work like #Twitter!

Have you just made the #Twexit or the #TwitterMigration?

Favorites ⭐ - they're not "likes". They don't "elevate" posts, they just the poster know you liked their post.

Boosts 🔁 - these push someone's post into your friends feeds (and help discovery).

So if you ⭐ my posts, that's great (and I love you too)!

But if you 🔁 posts, then more people see them!

OH! - #Hashtags are how you search!
