When it comes to AI hype and terror, I am actively putting myself in a filter bubble. I am aware this means I get a skewed version of what people are saying, as I gradually unfollow and unsubscribe from the KoolAid drinkers (and even the sippers). I don't know if this is a good strategy - if it makes me less potentially effective at whatever role I might have in pushing back, or if it makes the intrusions of hype all the more triggering when they happen. But it's borne of necessity.

I set a goal for myself to do #yoga every day in March. I haven’t totally managed to meet that goal, but #today I did my 12th practice in 16 days and I’m feeling good about it. Don’t be scared to set #ambitious #goals for yourself, and don’t beat yourself up if you don’t meet them. Be gentle to yourselves!

I see the liberals are trying to catch nazis in logical fallacies again as some way to triumph over them. Here's the thing: while it might feel good to go "ha! they can't even define what woke actually means!" the thing is that it doesn't matter to them

The right doesn't care if it lacks definitions or if it's hypocritical or even contradictory. "Woke" is just their dog whistle for "people we want to exterminate" that they can say without being perceived as "not being rude", something the liberal establishment seems to care more about than the underlying sentiment

Saying "you can't even define woke" is about as effective as saying "the president is not named Brandon". It doesn't matter. The important thing is that "let's go Brandon" gives them social cover that "fuck the president" doesn't

Stop asking nazis to define woke and start telling them that you know they want to commit genocide and you'll fight them

Fossil fools, deniosaurs, oil apologists, and other climate deniers want to debate the science of climate change.

Hogwash‼️ There is no debate.

The important discussion is on the evils of climate denialism & the harm it causes.

Why are banks allowed to have shareholders at all? Doing so only serves to privatize the gains, and then, when a bank goes too far in maximizing shareholder returns, socialize the losses.

I'm feeling disagreeable so here goes:

I think the narrative that "Silicon Valley broke its own bank and it's another example of how tech is broken" is complete hokum, and exonerates the actual villains here.

Bank runs happen all the time.

They are what happen when you have insufficient bank regulation.

The bipartisan bill of 2018 that let SVB dodge good banking rules is the actual problem here.

This is not a tech issue, it's a banking one.
