This is Michelangelo's statue David, created 1501/1504. It is one of the most famous statues in the world. Including images of this statue in art classes is now banned in one school district in Florida because a parent complained that the statue is pornographic.I thought conservatives insisted that our history (especially statues) shouldn't be forgotten.

if you're an instance admin and it's a multi-user instance and you're blocking instances all over the place, you might be cutting off long-time friends from each other.

admin-level blocking is a powerful tool and should be wielded with extreme care, if you choose to use it at all.

i'm not even sure i'm in favour of having the feature, personally. maybe for bot spam and things that would be illegal to host, but the software can't limit blocks to only be about that, so it's a dilemma.

but in a perfect world, blocks would be a fairly limited tool.

Good morning. ☕☕☕

We went to a nearby army base and got eye exams a few days ago. My wife and I are both retired soldiers, so we are able to go there on a space available basis. We can also get our eyes checked through the Veterans Administration - though we haven't done that yet.

Because we are retired soldiers, we were also able to each get two pair of glasses. I got one regular pair and one pair of sunglasses. They're nothing fancy of course, and the bifocal is clearly visible. I usually get the seamless bifocals when I purchase glasses. But I have to admit that I like the new glasses better than the Ray-bans that I normally get. And I don't even care about the bifocal line anymore; it is only a vanity thing anyway.
