Heavy stone doors protect the entrance to Qasr Azraq (the blue fort), Jordan, called Basienis by the Romans. Some are as heavy as 3 tons, but still move quite easily. The original Romans fort was used and developed by Byzantine, Umayyad, Ayyubid and Ottoman Turk armies. The fort's current layout dates to the 13th century when it was redesigned by the Ayyubids.
