@freemo @jonlandrum I like their weasel logo:) I have to admit though I have a big weakness for all things weasel ❤️

@commandelicious

I don't heavily mod it, I play with the following:

*UI Overhaul 1080p Plus
*Real Space (The full 4 Mods)
*Planetary Diversity (And companion mod for Real Space)
*!CGM Mod suite. (3 Mods)

I think that's all of them. All on Steam Workshop.

@Surasanji @commandelicious

My husband creature thanks you for the Real Space mod. He hadn't heard of that one. He's playing it at the moment. The Great Khan has just triggered for him apparently 😬

Wondering why broccoli is not considered an ornamental plant 🤔

@Lou Because it is too delicious to sit there for long being pretty! Om nom nom! 😋

@MaxDH I just watched the TED talk. That kind of noninvasive brain interface is amazing! I was blown away by the medical imaging she was showing, but what could potentially be done with that for things like prosthesis development really is fascinating to me. I'd love to see how far she can take it. I'll definitely be keeping an eye on what she does from now on. It ties in closely with my own areas of interest.

Paintings inspired by particle trails. Acrylic on canvas.
These have been a favourite thing of mine to paint for years! I find something about lines very aesthetically pleasing, and painting them is incredibly soothing. #art #artists #painting

@rojo It depends. What do you want to do with your life when you are done with your degree? There are specialist degrees within the field for certain career paths too. For example cybersecurity. Maryland has a good department for that.

It's a really good idea to really think carefully about what you want to do and see if you can find a university that offers something that will fit your needs.

Sorry if I am telling you something you already know:) Good luck with your college hunting, you will really enjoy yourself, I promise!

I am a high school senior in the United States. Should I pursue a degree in Computer Science? If so, what are any misconceptions about it? Thanks in advance!

For mastodon.social users:

Dogpiling and harassment are off-limits no matter how justified you think you are. The rules are for everyone.

Strongly considering adding screenshot-dunking to the code of conduct as well. We don't need that culture here.

@freemo @wilw

I would be seriously happy if you decided to do that Wil. I'd even promise not to fangirl too much about your Tabletop stuff. (I do like TNG but frankly I prefer watching you game to being Wesley 😛 )

We are all too S.T.E.M. focused here I think to bother with being mean to one another. I don't think Dr. Freemo has ever had a single complaint.

@wilw You should come to we wouldn't ban you and everyone would love to have you here.

Hi!

I study photonic engineering. My current main interest is in physical phenomena, including Fourier optics, holography, light sources (e.g. lasers) and optical components (e.g. LCDs).

What do you think of a non-invasive brain interface?

Hi!

I'm currently enrolled in the Physics Bachelor. I'm very curious about new discoveries and new technologies, hence my presence here on Mastodon (and @QOTO)

I am also an avid reader and I would love to get some recommendations from you all.

Nice to be here. :blobsmilehappyeyes:
