I am all about Professor Zvezdelina Stankova right now. Her lectures on mathematics are brilliant, easy to understand, and i love that smirk she always gets when she reveals a really intriguing proof. I hope I get to see her in person one day.

@Nyoei Well there is absolutely no advantage to memorizing digits other than practice i memorizing stuff. Just memorize a fractional approximation.

22/7 is off from pi by only ~1/791

If that isnt accurate eough then 355/113 approximates pi within ~1/3000000

Both of these are far more accurate than any digits you could memorize.

Quick question. What mathematical constants would you say are worth memorising?

That is Sabah. When I left the US I left him with my sister. I knew I couldn't give him a good life with how hectic immigration is. For many years he has been happy and loved by my sister's kids and my sister herself. Today he was put to sleep because of cancer. He is a good boy, and I'm sorry I couldn't be there for him. I'll miss you Sabah, thank you so much for looking after my niece, nephew, and sister all these years.

I am new here. I love the sound of my children’s laughter. I love the way my dogs lean on my legs. My wife can say something really funny right from deep sleep. I practice neurocritical care. I read great books, crap books—any books, all the time. My music library looks as if someone blind raided a record store. I studied immunology, speak romance languages terribly, and torture my family with dad jokes.

I am returned from the Channel Islands! All in one piece and with a bit of a suntan after forgetting to put on my lotion one day. Very happy to be back in Scotland and reunited with my own bed and my computer ❤️

Off to visit my baby nephew for a few weeks in the sunny channel Islands. Not sure how my internet will be, so I am taking some maths with me to work on to pass the time. I'll try to check in if I can in any case, you guys are fun:)

I will be back though I promise! I love this place. Don't break it while I am away or I will sulk massively.
