I blocked someone on fedi today. This is probably the first or second time since I started fedi about... 2 yrs ago?
@lucifargundam I blocked so many, there's too many stupid people and my life's too short to deal with them.
I don't mind stupidity as long as a person is willing to learn.
By the way, that should be "there are", not "there's". The word "people" is plural so it requires the plural verb "are".
You wouldn't say, "There is people." That's incorrect. You say, "There are people." Even though you placed modifiers ("too many stupid") in between the verb and its noun.
In grammar, this is known as agreement, specifically number agreement.

'Much' and 'many' is also one that I regularly make mistakes with. I know 'much' is non-countable and 'many' is countable. But if the amount of people can't be counted, because there's simply too many, you'd still not be able to say 'there are too much stupid people', right?
I block people who don't want to learn. There are whole instances dedicated to vitriol, and my life's really too short to deal with them.
I don't think much about many and much. I probably mess that up a lot.
It took me a long time to learn about "less" and "fewer", which is another similar countable/non-countable mistake. (Use "fewer" for countable objects.)
