You need skin if you are going to have a subdermal RFID.
A subdermal implant needs to be placed under my skin. No rules say that the skin needs to be attached to my body at the time.
On a side note, marathon watching freddy kreuger movies might be effecting me slightly :)
But then you'd need a pocket to keep your skin in, and you're back where you started.
