Not really. Thread support has been in the kernel since post-2.6.
(You do realize that multiprocessing IRL requires that you have multiple personality disorder?)
@Pat yea but in python its the only place where multithreading means you cant utilize multiple cpus... so multiprocess becomes needed
Oh, I didn't know that. I thought the mutlicore processors could handle multithreading natively.
@Pat from the OS perspective it can.. the limitation is specific to python and onnly python.
