If someone does not know they have a choice or is prevented from knowing what the choices are, or is intentionally provided misinformation, or is the target of psychological techniques such as distraction, then that's a problem.

I very much doubt you could convince a professional fighter that they don't know other choice ,s or that they are misinformed about their profession... Same goes for pretty much everyone else doing contact sports or risky activities (including drugs) even amateurs for fun. So how would you determine this?
