@neslihan Sanırım yanlış anlaşıldı, tüm yazılımlar (yazılan ve kullanılan) kesinlikle özgür olmalı. Durum şu ki, herkesin yazılım yazmaya ilgisi yok ve bu gayet normal, fakat insanların kullandıkları bu yazılımlar kesinlikle özgür olmalı. Ve amaç insanlara bu özgürlüklerini duyurmak, farkına vardırmak iken; daha dört temel özgürlük konusu bile bahsedilmeden genel izleyiciye o hassas konular sunulmamalı, mesela content warning seçenekleri bunun için var.

@neslihan İyi niyetinizi anlıyorum ve tartışmaların faydalı olabileceğine sözüm yok. Fakat özgür yazılım yazan birey farklı, kullanan birey (yazmaya davetli olsa da) farklı. Konuşmada bahsedilenler topluluğu ilgilendiren çok hassas konular. Böyle hassas bir tartışma konusunu (tartışma konusundaki kendi tarafınız, yanlılığınız ile, kaynak vermeden) bu derinlikte genel izleyiciye, özgür yazılım kullanmaya ilgi duyan veya duymayan bireylere sunmamalısınız.

@marathon Oh I am not one either for sure. But GPLv3 is definitely not the most restrictive licence from the user’s perspective nor it offers high protection for the author of the software (It is actually the opposite!).
I think their tutorials are good and okay to follow along. My guess is that they advocate for open source but not free (libre) software, so they try to disrupt the reader’s view about free software. I do hope that I am wrong and they just don’t know the details.

@marathon I hope they did not, because if this mess is what they ended up with after a legal person proofreading the article, that would only mean there is an extra second issue…
