I'm interested in being just not civil, but excellent in interacting with others of different viewpoints in an online world where we can so viciously defend our echo chambers and be so dismissive of other perspectives.
Because this is less and less possible here, I'm largely offline and am not sure if I'll be returning. It was fun back when civility was a trend on qoto.

With the presumptive nominee being appointed never having received a single primary vote, let's be sure we call it the Democrat convention, not democratic convention. There's been nothing particularly democratic about the Democrat primary.

It's disappointing to see people straw man all non Democrats as hateful toward immigrants in order to claim that Christians must vote for the party with unrestricted abortion as their unashamed central sacrament.
I've learned there's nothing to make me so handy as getting a professional quote for work needed on our bathrooms.
I got a lot of steps on Saturday without even going for a morning run... A good number of those steps were my five trips to the local hardware/home improvement store... Renovating a bathroom and broke a pipe. 🤣

I'm old enough to remember the white house press secretary condemning any media that implied Biden want up for the job as "cheap fake" manipulated media.
What shocking and sudden thing happened to Biden that without any indication (other than cheap fake republican lies) he is suddenly, out of the blue, resigning? We have been assured until now that he's at the top of his game and anyone who says otherwise is engaged in election interference.
We can't just assume that #Harris and the rest of the administration have been lying to us the whole time about their nominee's fitness for office... that would make them unsupportable for lying to the public for so long about the fitness of the presidential nominee. If they lied about one nominee, they'll lie about the next.
Have we even confirmed that tweet isn't another cheap fake published on the Trump supporting X platform? Where's #Biden?

In a democracy... It doesn't matter who we voted for in the primary, it matters who polls the best so they can be swapped out regardless of who won the votes?

@ChrisHolladay yep, it seems to mean... Nothing. Did he registered as a republican just to vote against Trump in a primary? Because he was a fan of Lincoln? Did he do it on a dare?
I read he'd made a single political donation to a group on the left, but it was $15, so hard to get anything meaningful from that either.
But, I am confident confirmation bias will continue to help people solidify their existing opinions.
