‘No Kings’ Protests Result In No Kings
After the protests, there are no American kings. Shocking success.

Seeing sign walkers chanting together, "This is what Democracy looks like!"
And I think that's where both sides can agree. This is what democracy looks like.
The president was democratically elected with an electoral college win, so he's the president, doing what he people voted for him to do.
And people who don't like the result of an election can chant phrases freely.
You know we have no king, because if we did these protests wouldn't be allowed.
@realcaseyrollins congrats bro! 😜
@steele what's your writing instrument of choice?
I got into fountain pens years ago. I don't have expensive ones, but I only use fountain pens... Keep two with my bullet journal now to have two colors of ink available.
@johnclint I stopped on this post for a while, thinking... Most people will read this and be outraged if the arrow points one direction.... Or the other, depending on who the reader is.

Trump administration sues Colorado and Denver, alleging blame for Aurora apartment chaos
Justice Department attorneys argue Colorado’s “sanctuary policies” allowed the Tren de Aragua gang members to seize control of The Edge of Lowry in Aurora. Police and city officials have repeatedly disputed the characterization.
@realcaseyrollins Pierre's lead tanked when Trump pushed the goofy 51st state talk. He doubled down on that today, election day.
Canadians are different than Americans in this way: a core part of Canadian identity is NOT being American. Canadians are always thinking of the US and are formed to be anti American in their core identity.
Americans have no concept of this. Americans don't even think about Canada.
So Trump stepped in it and cost the conservatives the election.
Or if you think Trump is always playing 4d chess, Trump tipped the scale on purpose to get an oppositional government that's more of the same he was always griping about with Trudeau.
@steele I was assured that no one was above the law.
@karnage @cimarron @antonionpellegrini @Sven @Debradelai @DawnM @Eiualumni @masterblaster @Gmajv @saramangas @YoungBlood sorry but wrong. Did Jesus say Peter is a pope? Nope. Just like there is no Christmas or Easter in the Bible

@steele Jesus' story of the pharisee and the tax collector praying at the temple, where the pharisee has open disregard for another also there to worship.
The lesson would be something like: You may have been taught you're better than others and that's wrong. Furthermore, I came here with this lesson because I believe I'm superior to you, I look down on you, I believe you need to be righteous like me. I pray to God (and to social media) thankful that I'm not like you. And I'm wrong in all of these things. We're all participating in this same sin, but me from a position of power. Now I will lead the way in repenting and we can together stop attacking the bride of Christ.
I'm interested in being just not civil, but excellent in interacting with others of different viewpoints in an online world where we can so viciously defend our echo chambers and be so dismissive of other perspectives.
Because this is less and less possible here, I'm largely offline and am not sure if I'll be returning. It was fun back when civility was a trend on qoto.
