Strano che ancora nessunə abbia pensato a definire "AI" il galleggiante della vaschetta di scarico del WC, che "sa" che quando l'acqua sale deve galleggiare ("ooooooh!").

Sull’etica dell’intelligenza artificiale, nel discorso pubblico si intrecciano:

- la questione di come “mettere l’etica dentro una macchina”;
- la questione di come sciogliere i dilemmi morali che si porrebbero ai sistemi autonomi;
- due diverse prospettive sull’etica:
- - quella proposta dai monopoli della tecnologia, che riduce l’etica a vuota retorica aziendale e innocuo design tecnico,
- - la prospettiva critica di coloro che denunciano le asimmetrie di potere, le discriminazioni, le violazioni di diritti, l’impostazione coloniale, lo sfruttamento del lavoro e le esternalizzazioni dei costi ambientali da parte dei monopoli della tecnologia.

Questa seconda prospettiva, che tematizza potere e diritti, rivela che la questione, anziché etica, è in realtà politica e giuridica.

Yet the Scottish Government continues to bankroll the arms companies who are profiting from the killing.

They must now finally do the right thing and stop funding genocide-profiteers.

@quinta I'm not convinced about the "Learning" part.

Machines don't learn shit. As they obvious don't have any kind of understanding of they're doing, or any kind of "thinking" process. They just produce statistically plausible-sounding bullshit. Which is… well, mostly (by far) still bullshit.

It's more like "Planet-burning machines for profit" rather than Machine learning or learning algos. Or anything related to "learning" or to "Intelligence".

E immensamente sottovalutato dall'opinione pubblica.
Come quello dell'infiltrazione palese, evidente, oserei dire trasparente, della lobby BigTech dentro TUTTI i partiti del Parlamento.

Ovviamente è diverso quando a infiltrare e condizionare la politica di un paese è un tuo "alleato" o un paese "non amico". Ma il problema resta comunque grave

PSA: It is strongly encouraged, when you have a PC laptop, to remove those Intel Inside and Windows stickers vendors stick on the palm rest. You bought it, you don't need to carry around ads for the product, and they will just get icky over time.

Carefully peel them off, starting at a corner, and use the glue residue on the sticker to remove any glue residue remaining on the palm rest by sticking a corner back down, and peeling it back off. Repeat as needed until all glue residue is gone.
