Information on Silencing an instance, to help the confusion.

Hi, Qoto! As you know I posted earlier regarding the silencing of the Spinster instance.

I'd like you to know that a Silence is different than a block. A silenced instance will still allow you to follow users on that instance and communicate with them.

However, the instance will not show in your federated timeline.

@brainblasted I've actually heard a lot of this, that the game has improved VASTLY from release.

I might even pick it up now.

@mngrif Silenced. It's a little bit of a different beast. If you follow someone at Spinster you'll see their posts. They just won't show up in the federated view for QOTO users.
