Anyone with cats have any advice for a first time cat owner?

My cat is visiting the litter box a lot, but isn't producing. She doesn't seem to be in pain- and I have checked her abdomen fairly firmly. She didn't react as if in pain.

Could it be not enough moisture in her diet?

Going to the vet tomorrow with her, but I'm really worried because this cat is like my entire family here in Tel Aviv. I just want her to be comfortable and healthy.

Something I see a lot of people do, especially in leftist spaces, is strip people of their personal autonomy, whether it be physical or mental
Whether it’s saying “sex workers can’t consent” or “people who have *this* identity are just ignorant to the fact it’s not real” or any flavor of “you can’t make this decision for yourself/you don’t actually want this, I, the enlightened one, know what’s best for you”
And it’s fucking gross and it needs to stop
