"The Project 775, NATO reporting name Ropucha class (Polish for Toad), is a class of landing ship (large landing ship or Bol'shoy Desantnyy Korabl (BDK) in Soviet classification) built in Poland for the Soviet Navy."

"They were designed for beach landings, and can carry 450 tons of cargo. The ships have both bow and stern doors for loading and unloading vehicles, and the 630 square metres (6,800 sq ft) of vehicle deck stretch the length of the hull. Up to 25 APCs can be embarked."

Rest in Peace Svitlana

Svitlana Mykhailenko was at home when an enemy missile came and took her life. It happened on 15 March 2024 in Odesa.

She was 39 years old. She was from the village of Mykolaivka. She worked at a butter factory for 12 years.

For the past two years, she had been living in Odesa with her family. She got a job as a sales assistant in a clothing store. Later, she quit and took care of household chores.

This year, she planned to get married to her common-law husband.

"She was a kind, bright person. She never offended anyone in her life, she came to the aid of everyone in need," said her sister Tatiana.

The deceased is survived by her son, parents, sister and civilian husband.

😱 A foreigner tried to take a Ukrainian woman abroad for sexual exploitation

During the transfer of a 27-year-old Ukrainian woman abroad, border guards together with National Police officers detained a Hungarian citizen. The foreigner intended to fly with his victim to the Kingdom of Cambodia. It was established that the perpetrator got to know the girl on social networks and, taking advantage of her difficult life situation, inclined her to work in brothels. As a result of searches, money, bank cards, draft records and a car used as a means of committing the crime were seized from the suspect.

The man was informed of the suspicion of committing a criminal offence. Investigations are ongoing.
