🦉A Russian Tu-22M3 was shot down by the DIU in cooperation with the Air Force. The DIU showed a video of the air defense team.

The bomber was launching Kh-22 missiles at Ukraine at night. It was hit at a distance of about 300 km from Ukraine by the same "means" that had previously shot down the A-50 radar detection aircraft.

The Tu-22M3 tried to fly to Stavropol but crashed. Russian telegram channels report that one crew member was killed. Two were hospitalized.

Ukrainian Air Force spokesman Yevlash called it "a vendetta for attacking peaceful cities." He also clarified that the air defense forces had shot down two Kh-22 missiles for the first time, which were fired by this bomber.

"Of course, this is a combo. Today is a black day for the Russian propaganda media. I think they will be very, very unhappy today. There is a first time for everything [...]. Well, now we are waiting for the Tu-95," he said on Radio Liberty.

Ukraine is ignoring US warnings about the use of drones in Russia and continues to produce super drones that can already reach targets in Siberia, 3,000 kilometers from Ukraine's borders, The Economist reports.

One of the UAV manufacturers claims that not all American representatives agree with official calls for an end to strikes against Russia.

According to it, its contacts "winked" when they passed on this warning.

German drone manufacturer Quantum-Systems has opened a drone production facility in Ukraine.

The plant will produce a thousand unmanned systems per year, as well as spare parts and components. Over the next two years, the manufacturer will invest €6 million in the plant. This is the company's second facility in Ukraine, where it already operates a research, development, support, training, and logistics center.

▪️Ukrainian troops are armed with Vector reconnaissance UAVs from Quantum-Systems. Ukraine began receiving them in May 2022. During this year, the troops will receive 500 Vector units.

When you leave your home to wreak death and destruction on a peaceful neighbor, KARMA comes into play.

After seeing US and British jets shoot down hundreds of Iranian missiles and drones last night, saving thousands of Israeli lives, everyone in Ukraine is saying the same thing.

The Russian military is now weaker than the Iranian military, but not only will allies NOT shoot down Russian missiles, they won't even give us the jets to do it ourselves.

We even know where all Russia's bomber aircraft sit but allies refuse to give us the tools to destroy them.

Russia is completely destroying Ukraine with larger and larger missle barrages, it's only getting worse.

Who's side is the US on?

The GUR released footage of Ukrainian air defense / anti-aircraft operators. They claim responsibility for the downing of the Tu-22M3 bomber.

"A Russian Tu-22M3 aircraft was shot down at a distance of about 300 kilometers from Ukraine using the same means that had previously hit the Russian A-50 long-range radar and control aircraft. As a result of the hit, the bomber was able to fly to the Stavropol area, where it crashed. It should be noted that this is the first successful destruction of a strategic bomber in the air during a combat mission during Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine," they add.

The US House Rules Committee moved forward a package of foreign aid bills late Thursday, overcoming opposition from three Republican lawmakers. The committee voted 9-3 to adopt the rule governing debate for the legislation, with Democrats providing the necessary support. This rare bipartisan move allows the full House to vote on bills providing aid to Israel, Ukraine, and Indo-Pacific allies, along with other national security priorities, such as a ban on TikTok. The dissenting Republicans cited objections to Ukraine aid and the absence of border security measures, prompting Democrats to cross party lines in support of the procedural vote.

"We are aware that many countries possess substantial inventories of PATRIOT systems, albeit possibly reluctant to directly supply them. However, we are prepared to purchase these systems and deliver them to Ukraine as we have the necessary funds. This is of paramount importance," stated Acting Prime Minister of the Netherlands, Mark Rutte, as reported by The Guardian.

"The urgency to provide Ukraine with surface-to-air missiles cannot be overstated. I am committed to making renewed efforts to persuade countries in possession of PATRIOT systems to transfer them to Kyiv. Ukraine requires all available air defenses, and they urgently need missile capabilities. We must ensure that this happens," Rutte emphasized.

Rutte further mentioned that, in collaboration with current NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg, they have urged allies to delve deeper into their reserves and allocate air defense systems for Kyiv.

Two Russian agents were arrested in Germany for trying to sabotage military support for Ukraine.

According to Der Spiegel, the suspects were trying to obtain information about American military bases in Germany and were plotting attacks on military transportation routes in the country.

The main defendant is a 39-year-old Russian of German descent, Dieter S. He is accused of collaborating with Russian special services, agent activity for the purpose of sabotage and creating a security threat to military facilities.

In particular, Dieter S., according to the investigation, maintained contact with an employee of one of the Russian special services, with whom he had been planning sabotage in Germany since October 2023.

According to the Federal Prosecutor's Office, Dieter S. arranged to carry out explosions and arson attacks on military infrastructure and industrial facilities in Germany. He had already been preparing for this and gathering information about potential targets, including US military facilities.

The second defendant is also a Russian of German descent, 37-year-old Aleksandr Y. He is accused of operating as an agent of the Russian special services: he has been in contact with Dieter S. since March 2024 at least.

According to the investigation, the suspects intended to prevent the delivery of military aid from Germany to Ukraine.

UKRAINIAN MOBILISATION LAW FINALLY SIGNED

With multiple units across the frontline short of manpower, President Zelensky has finally signed the law passed by Parliament early this week.
It overhauls registration laws, adds punishments for draft dodging and establishes a major database of eligible participants. The law applies more or less equally to both sexes.
One of its biggest changes is lowering the age from 27 to 25, which should automatically start bringing in more people in the coming months. The law takes effect in mid-May.
There were 4,000 amendments to the law going through parliament, mobilisation isn’t popular. In some ways this is the governments failure to rouse people from the expectations that ‘someone else will do it’. Well they won’t and they don’t- those someone else’s are already in the front line - if you want your liberty you too have to fight. Or there won’t be a country to argue over.
The law is seen as able to raise as many as 200,000 in the coming year.
Another key area has been the assurance to redeploy what can be seen as too many people in support roles.
