For ATACMS strikes: ISW analysts found 250 important targets in Russia.
Strikes by the Armed Forces of Ukraine with long-range weapons on Russian military targets in the rear of Russia are crucial for reducing Russian military capabilities at the front. In particular, the lifting of restrictions on Ukraine's use of Western weapons will allow the Armed Forces of Ukraine to strike at a wide range of important targets.
"ISW estimates that Russia has at least 250 military and paramilitary facilities within range of the ATACMS missiles that the United States has provided to Ukraine. Only 17 of these 250 facilities are airfields, and it is unlikely that the Russian military has transferred assets from all the other 233 facilities," the analysts write.
Among these facilities are large military bases, communication stations, logistics centers, repair shops, fuel depots, ammunition depots and permanent headquarters, from which it is extremely difficult or impossible to quickly transfer assets or quickly strengthen them.
"These facilities support Russian command and control, intelligence, reconnaissance, and provide logistical and repair support to Russian troops fighting in Ukraine and in the Kursk region. Thus, claims that there is no benefit in enabling Ukraine to use ATACMS in Russia, without taking into account hundreds of other facilities supporting Russia's war against Ukraine, will be incomplete, and thus incorrect," the analysts said.
Russian forces have to strengthened all facilities in Russia against potential Ukrainian strikes or dispersed assets throughout the deep rear.
"Russian forces will likely have to redeploy air and electronic warfare assets from across Russia, as well as from the front lines in Ukraine, to provide the necessary coverage for rear areas in Russia within the reach of Western-supplied weapons, possibly creating the conditions for Ukraine to expand its own air operations along the front line," the ISW added.
Overworked Pilots With 'Nothing To Fly': How War In Ukraine Is Crippling Russia's Aeroflot.
The pilots and passengers were in their seats; the planes ready for takeoff. But over 350 flights could not depart on schedule from Moscow's Sheremetyevo International Airport over two days in June. Aeroflot, Russia's state-owned flagship carrier, which claims to be one of the world's largest airlines, had run out of cabin crews.
This tale was shared on the channel Aviatorshchina, a Russian airline-industry forum.
And it was not a onetime event. In late July, a shortage of pilots led to the cancellation of 68 Aeroflot flights out of Sheremetyevo, several other flights were postponed.
Two and a half years after the start of the full-scale war, hampered by sanctions that have increased costs and reduced revenues, Aeroflot cannot always find the planes, pilots, and crew it needs to operate efficiently.

Russians using World War II-era M-30 howitzers
Due to the acute shortage of artillery systems, russians have to restore artillery systems from the 1930s and 1960s.
"Here are some fresh shots of the 122mm howitzer M-30 model 1938 being used at the front... but it lasted only two days and was destroyed."
The howitzer from the WWII was damaged as a result of an attack by about 15 Ukrainian FPV drones.
In addition, they repair their artillery systems using naval guns that are currently being decommissioned.
Militarnyi reported that the Russians have started using a hybrid of the naval gun Ak-130 and a carriage from a M-46 towed artillery gun, and said that there is a high probability that these hybrid guns are manufactured by Russian enterprises to provide the troops with the required quantity of artillery systems. The russian navy has plenty of them in their warehouses, and since the Ak-130 isn't installed on new ships, they can use the decommissioned guns for artillery.

Pope Francis criticizes push to ban activities of Russian-affiliated religious organizations in Ukraine.
Pope Francis criticized on Aug. 25 Ukraine's move to potentially ban the activities of Russian-affiliated religious organizations amid Russia's full-scale war against Ukraine, saying that "churches are not to be touched."
President Volodymyr Zelensky signed the bill on Aug. 24 which was passed by the parliament four days earlier.
"I am concerned for the freedom of those who pray because true prayer is always for everyone. One does not commit evil by praying. If someone commits harm against their people, they will be guilty of that, but they cannot have done harm because they prayed," Pope Francis said following his Sunday Angelus blessing.
"Let those who wish to pray in what they consider their Church be allowed to do so."
The Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Moscow Patriarchate (UOC-MP), which is legally subordinate to the Russian Orthodox Church, has been suspected of links and sympathies to Russia throughout the full-scale war. A number of clergymen of the UOC-MP have been accused of collaborating with Russia and justifying Russian aggression, including bishops and other high-ranking members.
According to the SBU press service, over 100 UOC-MP clergy members have come under criminal investigation since the outbreak of the full-scale war. Almost 50 of them have been charged, and sentences have been issued in 26 cases, the SBU said.
It is also noteworthy that the Pope didn't feel inclined to criticize the closing of all Ukrainian churches in occupied Crimea...or Moscow's strategic effort to repress, control, and crush religious groups outside of the Kremlin controlled Moscow Patriarchate.
Kursk operation: What Ukraine achieved so far and potential future gains
Ukraine’s ongoing operation in Russia’s Kursk Oblast, a bold incursion launched nearly three weeks ago that surprised Moscow and the world alike, has already yielded some tangible military and political results while also raising hopes for a sooner end to Russia’s full-scale invasion.
The Kursk incursion has allowed Ukraine to set a precedent for further offensive actions. It has created conditions for returning more Ukrainian prisoners of war by capturing scores of Russian POWs. The first major invasion of Russia since World War II has also dealt a blow to Russian President Vladimir Putin’s reputation while lifting the spirits of Ukrainian soldiers and civilians.

⚡️Belarus gathering significant number of troops, weaponry along Ukraine's border 'under guise of exercises,' Ukraine says.
Belarus' Armed Forces are "concentrating a significant number of personnel" as well as weaponry along Ukraine's northern border with Belarus "under the guise of exercises," Ukraine's Foreign Ministry warned on Aug. 25, citing information gathered by the country's intelligence sources.
Minsk is concentrating Special Operation Forces, as well as weaponry, including tanks, artillery, multiple-launch rocket systems (MLRS), air defense systems, and engineering equipment near the Belarussian city of Gomel, a statement released by the Foreign Ministry said. The city lies within about 30 kilometers of the Belarus-Ukraine border.
🇵🇱Poland reports airspace violations during the morning attack by Russia
The general of the Polish Armed Forces noted that three radar stations recorded that it was probably a drone. It is assumed that the UAV could have gone down near the town of Tyszowce. The search is still ongoing.
As a reminder, during the morning's massive Russian attack on the territory of Ukraine, Poland raised its military aviation.
