On September 17, The Wall Street Journal released an estimate suggesting that the combined military losses of both Russia and Ukraine since the start of Russia's full-scale invasion in 2022 could exceed one million.
According to the publication, "the number of Ukrainian soldiers killed is 80,000, with 400,000 wounded."

The European Parliament has voted on a resolution calling for the lifting of restrictions on Ukraine's use of Western weapons on Russian territory.
425 deputies voted in favor, 131 against, and 63 abstained.
In a resolution, MEPs want EU countries to lift current restrictions hindering Ukraine from using Western weapons systems against legitimate military targets in Russia.
The text, adopted on Thursday 19 September with 425 votes in favour, 131 against and 63 abstentions, states that without lifting current restrictions, Ukraine cannot fully exercise its right to self-defence and remains exposed to attacks on its population and infrastructure.
Parliament underlines that insufficient deliveries of ammunition and restrictions on their use risks offsetting the impact of efforts made to date, and deplores the declining volume of bilateral military aid to Ukraine by EU countries. MEPs reiterate their call for member states to fulfil their March 2023 commitment to deliver one million rounds of ammunition to Ukraine, and to accelerate the delivery of weapons, air defence systems and ammunition, including TAURUS missiles. They also restate their position that all EU countries and NATO allies should collectively and individually commit to annual military support for Ukraine militarily of no less than 0.25% of their GDP.

Former Chechen Prime Minister Demands Ban on Darwin's Theory in Schools
Ex-Chechen Prime Minister and current Mishustin's assistant Muslim Khuchiev made this proposal at a meeting of the All-Russian Parents' Committee.
During the meeting, Khuchiev stated that Darwin’s theory is “erroneous,” is “the first step in the spiritual corruption of children,” and also contradicts all religions.
We can simply remove it. Darwin's theory is not true, it contradicts religious education, all religions have recognized it. Who else should recognize it so that it can be removed from textbooks and not instilled into the consciousness of our children?
The ex-mayor of Grozny and current PM assistent Khuchiev is known not only as a Darwin's theory denier, but also as a lover of torturing people, for which US sanctions were imposed against him. On September 7, the ECHR awarded compensation of €26,000 to Chechen businessman Lom-Ali Elbiev, who was tortured for three hours in the building of the Grozny City Hall. The mayor (Khuchiev) and his subordinates forced Elbiev under torture to write a promissory note for 28 million rubles, and also forced him to confess to embezzlement of budget funds, which he did not commit.

Ukraine destroyed two large ammunition depots in russia.
On the night of September 21, the Armed Forces of Ukraine destroyed two large ammunition depots on the territory of russia at once. This is reported by Ukrainian and russian military publics.
A warehouse near the village of Kamenny in the Tikhoretsk district of the Krasnodar Territory, as well as the 23rd arsenal of the Main Missile and Artillery Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of the RF in the Tver region, near Toropets, were hit.
In Tikhoretsk, Krasnodar Krai, the governor ordered the evacuation of 1.200 people from the district where ammunition depot was hit - with the usual drones-shot-down-fire-broke-out-by-falling-debris-spreads-to-explosive-objects-tale. Videos with secondary detonations in the Tikhoretsk district are circulating online, as projectiles are flying from the Tikhoretsk arsenal to nearby settlements.
In the Tver region, UAVs hit a "secret object" in the village of Oktyabrsky near Toropets. This was the military unit of the Strategic Missile Forces, a major arsenal that reportedly could have stored about 45.000 tons of ammunition, including ballistic missiles.
Up to 430 servicemen could have been in the 23rd Arsenal of the Main Missile and Artillery Directorate of the Ministry of Defeat at the time of the shelling, but according to Alexander Nevzorov, the main target of the attack on the arsenal in the Tver region was Iranian Fath-360 missiles and North Korean KN-23 missiles.
Z-media report that local authorities evacuated the Staraya Toropa railway station. Several passenger trains were canceled, and others (Moscow - Pskov and St. Petersburg - Smolensk) were sent on an alternative route with a delay of about two hours.
To top it off the former Wagner PMC base handed over in July 2023 to the MoD is on fire in Molkino, Krasnodar. According to local media, administrative buildings and barracks are burning where the Wagner base was located for almost ten years.
