I am a bit under the weather this morning. But it's time to get the word out. Trump’s babysitters are bozos.

💔 Tears and fear: this is how Odesa's children experienced today's massive Russian attack on the city

The State Duma dealt another blow to the military by establishing financial liability for volunteers for damaging military property

"The State Duma has passed a law according to which volunteers will become financially responsible in case of damage to military property. The cost of this property, according to the draft law, will be deducted from the salaries of volunteers. So there is a chance to come to war on your own, break the Mavik and fight for free. I would also start fining for swearing. The treasury will swell with money (sarcasm)," - "ZHIVOV Z".

"The first fucking news. In Russia, financial liability for volunteers for damaging military property is officially being introduced in the amount of damage caused, but no more than one monthly salary and one monthly bonus for length of service. If you screwed up/smashed it up, don't give a fuck, pay from your own pocket," - "Trench Dirt."

"...the next step should probably be collecting payments from the lungs, who received 3. And if there is no money, then give a loan at 40% for 30 years. In this way, it is possible to completely stop the flow of volunteers to the troop," - "Troika".

"Judging by today's two laws:
1. Differentiation of payments for injuries
2. Material liability for loss or damage to equipment, etc.
Moreover, there was financial responsibility, it was just being tightened now and with very vague wording. Question: Who is doing all this and why? At a time when the Army is advancing, what is the goal? To reduce the number of people signing the contract? Bravo, legislator (another consonant word is closer), you will succeed", - "Time to go home".

Hey, guys - it's all according to the plan!

To relieve the situation the Russians launched another attack from the west along the same road they’d been crushed on days before. This was another armoured assault - the Russians lost 18 of 29 attacking vehicles. CONTINUES…

CONTINUES…
However Russian troops managed to get embedded in part of a village. Ukraine had to get them out before they were too established so sent in Bradley’s and infantry, successfully rooting them out of their positions.
The Bradley’s are hated by the Russians - with its upgraded Ukrainian supplied defence package it’s become a bulwark able to survive drone attacks and its gun is devastating against even hard defences. They deployed their troops without loss.
The Russians have again suffered tactical defeats having shown little in the way of initiative or planning. Ukraine continues to show flexibility and adaptability in thought and tactics to deal with challenging situations, despite the quantitative advantages the Russians have.

MILITARY & STRATEGIC:
KURSK - PUTIN’S COSTLY OBSESSION

We all understand why he might want the Ukrainians out of the region. It has more to do with pride and denying them even the slightest advantage come January.
The resources now involved are considerable and Ukraine’s interest now is twofold - it wants to hold on to some land for negotiations as much as Putin doesn’t want them to, and just as importantly, keep 50,000 Russians amused in Russia rather than let them wander back to areas in Ukraine they might make a difference.
You all I know my original view on Kursk. It was an opportunistic attack almost out of desperation. I remain convinced that it was a poor use of valuable resources at the time it was launched and the Ukrainians lost control of the situation in September and nearly lost everything. Russian incompetence came to their rescue.
Now the political and strategic landscape has changed and holding it has become almost as vital as any other part of the front. The Russians have allowed themselves to make it important enough to be worth it, because they too are driven by the changed politics and in their case, the increasingly fraught economics of the war.
The fighting here has become relentless with as many as eight assaults an hour as Russia flings small groups of men and equipment into the fray, in the hopes that eventually the Ukrainian defenders will run out of ammunition or men or both.
Russian soldiers are bullet sponges, there to absorb ammo until the defenders are exhausted and retreat. It’s become so bad that moral is so low, several fights and a riot have occurred behind the lines as they realise their fate. With desperation has come increasing brutality- a 62 year old soldier thrown naked into a pit in freezing conditions for accidentally leaving his kit behind. The attitude was ‘If he lives lucky him, if he doesn’t so what?’ With no food or water he’s unlikely to make it. The brutality against Ukrainian POW’s has returned - executions are preferred rather than deal with getting them out of the frontlines to camps.
This is the desperate state of parts of the Russian army. The deliberate brutality of the officer cadre is now endemic.

Yesterday the Ukrainians executed an outstanding tactical manoeuvre that’s being described as ‘military exceptionalism’.
The Russians like their ‘spike’ attacks and have used them extensively and successfully in many areas this year. These involve taking a narrow corridor of land and then progressively pushing it deeper and widening the base of the spike into a salient.
They tried such a manoeuvre in Kursk, again aiming to reach the key junction of Malya Locknya .
These operations were initially successful, because they drive deeply and then back-fill with troops to support the flanks and the small settlements they take.
Realising they couldn’t dislodge the Russians easily - this tactic is immensely effective- the Ukrainians decided to do what I have regarded as the only solution to such an attack, and have been disappointed by how slowly they react to it.
You have to cut it off before it develops. As close to the base of the spike as possible.
The terrain here favours the defenders enormously, as it’s all hills with the road the Russians advance along in the lowlands.
With their mechanised forces destroyed previously the Russian holding forces dropped off along the way had no real backup and no support to widen the salient. Another example of dire communications and low grade planning.
The Ukrainians came down from the hills and surrounded the defending Russians in each sector of occupation - the Russians realised what was happening and sent in armour to try and break the Ukrainian encirclements.
The Ukrainians didn’t let the Russians get far and stopped the advance before it could help. The Russians were stuck and could only be supplied by drone.

🔞 ☠️  Wild boars dine on their Russian brother somewhere in the Kursk region

It seems the Putin regime is expecting the slaves to wake up at any minute🤔

Ukrainian hackers hacked the work computer of the commander of the Russian army in Zaporozhye.

Hackers from the Cyber Resistance and KibOrg groups managed to install spyware on the PC of the commander of Russian troops in the Zaporozhye direction in 2023, Colonel-General Alexander Romanchuk. The virus spread to other devices at the headquarters, which made it possible for the Ukrainian side to receive classified information from the Ministry of Defense for more than a year and a half. Some of the information was passed on to the Center for National Resistance (CNS) of Ukraine, which published some details.

Russian propaganda sources have previously portrayed Romanchuk as a heroic general, the CNS notes. Included him in the list of "the most talented Russian commanders", calling him a key figure in the Russian defense in Zaporozhye in 2023, and that he proved himself a "hero" back in Syria.

However, according to the data received by the CNS, the command under the leadership of Romanchuk did not take into account the losses in Zaporozhye at all. Statistics provided by Captain Vyacheslav Dondokov, head of the 42nd Medical Battalion, showed that only one medical group treated more than 1.100 wounded per month. At least 11 such groups operated in Zaporizhzhia, which indicates serious losses among troops - about 12.000 wounded alone every month.

But Romanchuk paid little attention to hostilities in the direction entrusted to him, the CNS points out. He spent most of his working time looking at real estate ads, choosing cars, meeting girls and games, and after the release of the series "The Word of a Boy", he became his fan.

Also, Romanchuk's correspondence with Captain Roman Malyshev shows that the general actively controlled information about himself in the media, demanding to "deal with" critical milbloggers. "Two Majors" and "Thirteenth" raised questions about the shortcomings of Russian forces in Zaporizhzhia; Romanchuk considered them to be "saboteurs"

Thanks to Romanchuk, the hackers gained access to other devices of the headquarters of the Russian group in Zaporizhzhia, which, according to the CNS, allowed the Armed Forces of Ukraine to learn about CCTV cameras, the locations of warehouses, observation posts and other strategic facilities of the Russian troops. In addition, internal documentation of the headquarters was received, including combat reports and other data.

It also turned out that the son of the Colonel-General, Volodymyr Romanchuk, having a military education, does not participate in hostilities. Instead, in the summer of 2023, while fierce fighting was going on on the Zaporozhye front, he traveled abroad, visiting China and Kyrgyzstan, and dancing merrily to K-pop.

Tulsi Gabbard, very likely a Russian asset, has spread Russian propaganda and outright lies about the ongoing invasion of Ukraine. She has attempted to legitimize the war and support Russia since day one as a way to inhibit Ukraines entry into NATO

She has been chosen as the new Director of National Intelligence

Closing the Skies, Liberating Ukraine - Helsinki Commission Congressional Hearing

This Helsinki Commission Hearing examines how, to enable Ukrainian progress in the near- to medium-term, Western military aid must be purposeful and tied to a concrete and actionable theory of Ukrainian victory. The hearing features key experts on Ukraine and its defensive needs, ongoing battlefield dynamics, and policy recommendations to inform the development of future military aid packages.

Long range munitions can destroy key russian offensive capabilities and disrupt its sustainment infrastructure; multi-layered air defense can protect Ukrainian cities and deny russia the air dominance their forces depend upon; and targeted Ukrainian attacks against russian military targets in occupied Ukraine, and in russia itself, can help degrade the russian war economy and boost Ukrainian morale.

With a military unable to compete with Ukrainian defenders on equal footing on the battlefield, russian forces have resorted to employing overwhelming mass of men and materiel, sustained in large part with munitions, drones, and technological inputs from Iran, North Korea, and China. To counteract these russian advantages, Western aid should not only allow Ukrainian forces to hold the line, but to degrade and destroy fixed russian positions, enable offensive operations, and effect general exhaustion and collapse among russian units.
