Released from Russian captivity, a policewoman from Mariupol endured sexual violence for two years, according to ombudsman Dmytro Lubinets.
The 24-year-old policewoman was freed during the latest exchange after spending over two years in Russian captivity. Under international humanitarian law, she is not considered a prisoner of war as a police officer, but Russians treated her as such.
"She told my representatives that throughout these two years, she was subjected to sexual torture by Russian soldiers. The entire period."

Another blossoming business in Putinistan
More than a billion rubles were stolen by Ingush officials using fake social payments and mortgage loans.
The officials falsified birth and death certificates, allegedly issued by EU states and russian embassies in these countries, and assigned pensions and social benefits based on them.
Also, members of the organized group forged mortgage loan agreements, cashing out money that was transferred to the account of a regional mortgage lending operator. In this way they managed to steal more than a billion rubles.
Two accused were sent to a pre-trial detention center on suspicion of fraud in receiving payments. Another defendant was placed under house arrest, as she is raising seven children.
In February 2023, the Ingush department of the FSB reported the detection of fraud with social payments in the amount of more than 2 billion rubles. In the case of theft from the Pension Fund, 34 people were arrested, including the brother of the head of the republic, Magomed-Bashir Kalimatov.
“NeMoskva” reported about a similar trial in Dagestan, where officials, including the former Minister of Labor, are accused of fraud with social payments. But the amount there is much more modest - only 82 million rubles.

Joint Communiqué on the Foundations of Peace.
First, any use of nuclear energy and nuclear facilities must be safe, secure, reliably guarded and not harmful to the environment. Ukrainian nuclear power plants and installations, in particular the Zaporizhia Nuclear Power Plant, must operate safely and securely under the full sovereign control of Ukraine and in accordance with the principles of the IAEA and under its supervision.
Any threat or use of nuclear weapons in the context of war in Ukraine is unacceptable.
Second, global food security depends on uninterrupted food production and supply. In this regard, free, full and safe commercial shipping, as well as access to seaports on the Black and Azov Seas, are extremely important. Attacks on merchant vessels in ports and en route, as well as on civilian ports and civilian port infrastructure, are unacceptable.
Food security cannot be used as a weapon in any way. Ukrainian agricultural products must be safely and freely supplied to interested third countries.
Third, all prisoners of war must be released by full exchange. All deported and illegally displaced Ukrainian children and all other illegally detained Ukrainian civilians must be returned to Ukraine.
👉 The final declaration of the Global Peace Summit, held in Switzerland, has been signed by 80 countries and four organisations.
Saudi Arabia, Thailand, India, Mexico, South Africa, Brazil, and the United Arab Emirates have not signed the document.

Argentina is aware of the value of peace and unconditionally supports Ukraine - President Miley
The President of Argentina, Javier Millay, called his participation in the Global Peace Summit part of "big changes" in his country, stressing that under his leadership it is returning to the civilized world and supports Ukraine without limit. "For us, for Argentina, this is an important step: we first visited the G7 Summit and now this Peace Summit. This is part of the big changes we are making as a country after turning our backs on the world for decades," Miley noted. He emphasized that now Argentina is being reborn and is re-adopting the ideas that made it one of the most prosperous in the world 150 years ago. "We, Argentinians, are well aware of the value of peace and democratic coexistence, which are the guiding principles of life and society. On behalf of the Argentinian people, I want to express our unlimited support for the people of Ukraine and our friend President Zelenskyi," Miley emphasized.
War of Words: Debunking the Myth of ‘Pro-War’ Support for Ukraine
Rarely have the ethical lines been so clear-cut in any war. Those who call Ukraine supporters warmongers are just “miserable creatures” hiding behind pacifist ideals to cover their own cravenness.
The absurdity of labeling politicians and countries that support Ukraine’s defense against Russia as “warmongers” or “pro-war” is laughable, yet these ludicrous claims are running rife on social media. Is it a classic case of blaming the fireman for trying to put out the fire or is it part of a larger disinformation war?
When a sovereign nation is invaded, it becomes a moral imperative for the global community to assist, especially when the aggressor blatantly disregards international laws, the rules of war and human decency.
Russia’s invasion of Ukraine is illegal, unjust, and an affront to the principles of sovereignty, self-determination and humanity.
Those who stand with Ukraine do so not out of a love for war but out of a commitment to justice and the preservation of international order.
Supporting Ukraine is about defending the right of a country to exist without fear of an unprovoked invasion.
It’s about standing up to a bully who thinks he can redraw borders through brute force. Putin is a criminal and a bully of the highest order. And a bully hates nothing more than a victim who fights back.
It’s as if critics believe that helping a friend in distress equates to encouraging a brawl. Picture this: a mugger attacks someone on the street. Do you call the person who intervenes to stop the attack a “violence enthusiast”?
It’s important to understand the distinction between supporting a nation’s right to defend itself and encouraging war for the sake of conflict.
The real and only warmonger is the one who initiates the war, not those who step in to help the invaded.
This is how the ruins of "Azovstal" look today

The head of the British Foreign Office called for tracking down and blocking the tankers of the Russian "shadow fleet"
The Group of Seven (G7) countries will strengthen sanctions against russia and continue to fight against circumvention of existing restrictions, British Foreign Secretary David Cameron said in an interview with Corriere della Sera. Among other things, he promised to arrange a "hunt" for tankers, with the help of which the Z-regime illegally exports its energy resources.
"We have to track down the shadow fleet that illegally transports russian oil around the world. Every time these tankers approach an Italian port, I want to make sure they are blocked."
According to the British minister, Ukraine's allies need to demonstrate to Putin "the senselessness of his actions." "We will show that we fully support Ukraine: we will hunt for money, for oil, we will stop gas, ships - everything that allows the russian military machine to work," Cameron stressed.
He also stated the need to include companies from other countries that supply dual-use goods to Russia in the sanctions lists. Among them, Cameron named China, Turkey, Kyrgyzstan and Israel.
On June 13, the UK imposed sanctions for the first time against tankers, as well as Ingosstrakh, which has become one of the leading insurers of shadow fleet vessels. In addition, ships delivering ammunition from North Korea fell under restrictive measures.
London's blacklist included four tankers sailing under the flags of Cameroon, the Cook Islands and Gabon. They have been denied access to British ports, and they may also be deprived of registration in the country's Ship Register.
The US has imposed sanctions against almost 40 ships since October 2023. This led russia to hide its shadow fleet in Africa.

The AN-26-100 plane might have crashed after the landing gear touched the airport fence.
According to first reports, it was a human error. Due to heavy fog and poor visibility, the pilots of the UTair aircraft, which had 36 passengers on board, lowered the landing gear earlier than necessary, so that the plane hit the fence and crashed down. This version has not yet been officially confirmed.
Pilot Igor Ch. and co-pilot Alexey R. received injuries of different severity. One of the passengers was also injured.
The airport is currently not accepting flights.
Seems strange to me, either their airport fences are exceptionally high or their final descent exceptionally low... but okay, I never experienced a landing approach in ruZZia. Thank dog.

Russian banks faced a shortage of yuan after stopping trading in the dollar and euro
Sanctions against the Moscow Exchange, as a result of which exchange trading in dollars and euros stopped, caused a shortage of Chinese yuan in the Russian interbank market.
On Thursday, June 13, banks applied to the Central Bank for a record volume of yuan loans in history, according to the regulator's statistics. As part of the currency swap operations, credit institutions borrowed 14.234 billion yuan (174.24 billion rubles) from the Central Bank.
Demand for yuan from the Central Bank arose for the first time since the beginning of the month. In response, the regulator decided to expand the limits on swap transactions, within which it lends the Chinese currency against the pledge of rubles. From Friday, June 14, their maximum volume will be 20 billion yuan per day.
The shortage of the Chinese currency was due to the fact that many market participants began to withdraw yuan to accounts in branches of Chinese banks.
Fears arose in the market that following the dollar and the euro, the Moscow Exchange may be forced to stop trading in the Chinese currency. Experts deem it unlikely that Chinese banks will continue to work with the exchange and the National Clearing Center after the trading platform and its structures fell under US sanctions. Or as option, there will be no exchange trading in the yuan.
Subsidiaries of large Chinese banks in russia stopped on Thursday already settlements in dollars and euros.
