🇲🇩 russia recruited 130,000 Moldovan citizens to disrupt the EU accession referendum.
Approximately 5% of the country's population participates in the scheme. Only in September, russia transferred $15 million to their accounts so that they would vote against Moldova's accession to the EU and disrupt the referendum.
Funds are transferred to the cards of a bank affiliated with the Ministry of Defense of the russian federation. And instructions on how to vote and spread false information about the EU are distributed on Telegram.
▪️ Already on October 20, the country will hold presidential elections and a referendum on joining the EU. Both votes are important for Moldova, because russia is trying to bring the country back into its sphere of influence.

russia might be not as strong as you think
While everyone focuses on Ukraine's exhaustion, a record number of russians now support ending the war with Ukraine. They are willing to abandon the goals of the "special military operation" and seek compromise.
A record 49% of russians now support ending the war in Ukraine, even if russia's declared goals are not achieved. This is the highest level since the war began.
63% of russians want to conclude a peace agreement with Ukraine within a year, indicating growing war fatigue.
Support for the war is lowest in ethnic republics like Chechnya (39%) and Tyva (46%), while highest in regions closer to the conflict zone like Belgorod (63%).
Moscow and St. Petersburg show higher war support than some ethnic republics, possibly due to concentration of war beneficiaries like government officials and business owners.
Losses at the front are a major concern, especially in ethnic republics and border regions. In Buryatia, Dagestan, and Belgorod, 90% view it as an important issue.
Readiness for mobilization is highest among men aged 50-60, who are least likely to be drafted. Only 6.6% of 18-24 year olds are willing to fight if ordered.
51% of russians are understanding of those who refuse to participate in the war, while only 27% condemn such refusals.
57% of russians assess the possibility of a new mobilization as high, reflecting concerns about manpower shortages.
Given a choice between peace and mobilization, 49% support ending the war without achieving its goals, while only 29% support new mobilization.
63% of russians would support a peace deal with Ukraine involving mutual concessions - an all-time high.
85% want authorities to focus on domestic social and economic issues rather than the war.
86% still support ending the "special operation" after achieving its goals, reflecting an unwillingness to accept defeat even if wrong.
What does this mean? russia is tired, there is fatigue, and the people in russia want the war to be over. But as important is the fear of mobilization by russians. putin can't afford to continue to kill his soldiers in thousands per day. And this is becoming a real issue.

Vovchansk.
It ended in disaster—for the Russians. Assaulting Ukrainian positions northwest of the 30-building chemical campus, the equivalent of half a Russian battalion—17 MT-LB armored tractors, three tanks and no fewer than 100 infantry—crashed into a wall of Ukrainian firepower.
The Ukrainian army’s 57th Motorized Brigade blasted the Russian assault group with hovering drones dropping grenades—among other weapons, most likely.
When the smoke cleared, 16 MT-LBs and a tank lay wrecked.
There were literal piles of dead and mangled Russians around the smoldering hulks. “Now the guys are finishing off the remaining infantry,” one Ukrainian blogger reported.
