I had to drop Straight Talk after it stopped working for the third time. Three strikes. Now I am back but much improved so far.
Good morning.

🇨🇺 Cuba has uncovered a human trafficking ring that is trying to recruit Cubans to fight for Russia in Ukraine.

The Cuban Foreign Affairs Ministry said that the network is operating from Russia and that it has "neutralized" the attempts to recruit Cubans.

The Russian government has been trying to recruit foreigners to fight in Ukraine, including migrants from Central Asia.

The Armed Forces of Ukraine have successfully damaged key bridges in the southern region of the country, which the occupiers relied on for transporting ammunition and equipment. This was conveyed by Nataliya Humenyuk, the head of the United Coordination Press Center of the Defense Forces of Southern Ukraine, during a briefing.

"The logistics of the Russian forces have been significantly disrupted. The primary bridges, which sustained damage and constitute the backbone of the enemy's transportation and logistics routes, are unable to operate at full capacity. As a result, in most instances, the occupiers are compelled to utilize the M-17 route (Kherson—Dzhankoy—Feodosia—Kerch—the state border with Russia). The damage inflicted on these bridges has reduced their capacity, particularly for transporting heavy equipment, weapons, and ammunition. Currently, they can only be used for the transportation of personnel. However, in most cases, the M-17 route remains the primary conduit," Humenyuk pointed out.

Russia's second line of defense may feature an extensive network of underground tunnels, as Russian soldiers have been digging for more than a year, according to a spokesperson for the defense forces in the Tavriia direction.

"It's quite formidable. I don't understand why everyone perceives it as weaker. While the density of minefields may be lower, there are still quite a significant number of them. The only potential advantage on our side is that the trenches, ditches, and ceilings might not be as sturdy," he added.

It's worth noting that yesterday, OSINT researchers discovered a Russian tunnel under the occupied point of Robotyne, which became exposed due to a direct projectile hit. Those tunnels were enabling the enemy to move quickly and unnoticed.

The New York Times writes that Russian General Sergei Surovikin, detained after the Wagner PMC mutiny, has been released. He was previously believed to be in custody.

The newspaper's sources say that this happened three days after the plane carrying Yevgeny Prigozhin crashed on August 23. The general allegedly retained his rank, but no longer has "career prospects" in the army.

Ksenia Sobchak wrote about Surovikin's release yesterday, posting a photo of the general with his wife.

◾After Prigozhin's failed mutiny, Western media wrote that Surovikin knew about the preparations for the uprising. At the time, he was the deputy commander of Russian troops in Ukraine, and after the rebellion, he disappeared from the public eye.
