The operational situation in the East remains difficult. The enemy does not stop conducting offensive operations along the entire front.

Together with the commanders holding the defense in the Eastern direction, we analyzed the situation in detail and considered options for further actions.

We jointly made the necessary decisions and took measures to ensure the stability of our defense, the preservation of the lives of our soldiers and the rational use of ammunition.

The scheduled date for the Russian presidential election in these territories is March 17, 2024.

Ukraine's secret site testing attack drones for the frontline - Forces News

Forces News has visited a secret Ukrainian drone testing site where one engineer warned Ukraine is struggling to keep up with Russian production.

Ukraine cannot match Russia in terms of conventional airpower, but has used attack drones to great effect.

But since the 2022 invasion, Russia has become more savvy in terms of countering Ukrainian drones as well as stepping up the production of its own fleet of uncrewed aerial vehicles (UAVs).

Russian forces have deployed more jamming technology - and there are reports of Russian shopping centres being repurposed and turned into drone research laboratories and factories

Gonna say goodnight now. Don't expect me out here any earlier than 9 AM. Maybe later. We are starting the day at 24⁰.

Ukrainian experts have determined that the manufacturer of the Shahed drones used in attacks on Ukraine is the Iranian aircraft manufacturing company HESA (Iran Aircraft Manufacturing Industrial Company).

The Office of the Prosecutor General, responding to Suspilne's request, reported that expert examinations have confirmed the identification of "Geran-2" UAVs as kamikaze drones of the "Shahed-136" type, and another seized sample named "Geran-1" as a kamikaze attack UAV "Shahed-131." These examinations pointed to the Iran Aircraft Manufacturing Company (HESA) in the Islamic Republic of Iran as the developer and manufacturer of these UAVs.

This revelation from law enforcement agencies marks potential involvement by Iran in the production of these unmanned aerial vehicles, providing significant insight into the origin of these drones used in attacks on Ukraine.

According to a Pew Research Center survey, nearly half of the Americans polled expressed a desire to maintain aid to Ukraine, while about one-third believed that the level of support provided to Ukraine is excessive.

The breakdown of opinions revealed that 31% of respondents felt the USA is offering too much assistance to Ukraine in its conflict with Russia, while 29% considered the aid provided to be adequate. Additionally, 18% expressed a preference for increasing the level of support.

The survey indicated that opposition to aid might be more prevalent among Republicans and Republican-leaning independent voters, standing at 48%, an increase from 44% in June.

Among Democrats, about four out of ten (39%) deemed the assistance as sufficient, while 16% disagreed. Moreover, 24% of Democrats advocated for an increase in aid to Ukraine.

Sociologists highlighted a widening gap between the political parties concerning support for Ukraine. Initially, during the early stages of the conflict, Republicans were only marginally more inclined than Democrats to believe the U.S. was providing excessive aid (9% vs. 5%). However, the recent survey indicated a significant shift, with Republicans now 32 percentage points more likely than Democrats to hold that belief.

The SBU detained a traitor in Odessa who wanted to run for the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine to spy for the FSB

In the last month, the person involved was actively engaged in "promoting" his own image as a potential candidate for People's Deputies of Ukraine.

To do this, he joined a local public organization that deals with environmental issues, and also placed his political advertisement on several passenger buses running around the city.

According to the investigation materials, the money for both "projects" was allocated by the Russian special service. Separately, he also requested a reward of 5.5 thousand US dollars every month.

It is also documented that the Russian agent tried to identify the locations of the air defense and coastal defense facilities of the city, including the anti-ship complexes of the Armed Forces.

Employees of the SBU detained the suspect "red-handed" during his preliminary reconnaissance of the area near one of the Ukrainian facilities.
