Information about Syrskyi's Alleged Resignation is Fake - CCD

The Centre for Countering Disinformation (CCD) at the National Security and Defence Council of Ukraine announced the information that the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi, has allegedly resigned is another fake.

In particular, a fake "news" is circulating that Syrskyi sent his resignation letter to the President of Ukraine using the special mail of the General Staff.

"The Centre has checked this information. It is not true! The enemy is interested in spreading such fakes in order to destabilise the situation among the military and sow panic among the population," the CCD said.

US Ammo Honcho: Congress Doubled Funding for Shells Critically Needed by Ukraine

A senior US official on Thursday said recently passed legislation by the US Congress doubled funding for acquisition of 155mm artillery shells, an ammunition category critically needed by Ukraine in its war against Russia, Washington news reports said.

Doug Bush, the chief weapons buyer for the US military, told the Reuters news agency that the Pentagon had requested Congress allocate $3.1 billion to purchasing 155mm shell manufacturing and investment in production capacity expansion, and that the actual figure allocated by US legislators was $6 billion.

“We appear to have gotten $6 billion. So that, I think, is a vote of confidence as we make our way to 100,000 shells a month,” Bush said on Thursday.

Violetta Oliinyk, a stained-glass artist from Chernivtsi, assembled 71 drones with her own hands and sent them to the frontlines.

Thanks to the donations Violetta collects, she continues to assemble drones for the Armed Forces.

Before Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, she used to make jewelry, but after Violetta's two brothers and father volunteered to defend the country, she decided to help.

After her father asked where he could buy an FPV drone and how difficult it was to find one, she decided to make them herself.

⚡️ Commander: Russia aims to completely occupy 3 oblasts in 2024.

Russia's goal in 2024 is to completely occupy Donetsk, Luhansk, and, if possible, Zaporizhzhia oblasts, Ukraine's Ground Forces Commander Oleksandr Pavliuk told The Times on May 2.

Apart from completing the occupation of the three oblasts, Russian forces are still focused on capturing the regional centers of Kharkiv and Sumy, located proximately to the Ukrainian-Russian state border, as well, according to Pavliuk, who cited Ukraine's military intelligence.

"But we do not know how serious those plans are, nor if they are capable of realizing them with the forces they have at their disposal," he said.

Zelenskyy

Today I am in Khmelnytskyi. The day is devoted to the situation in the region – security issues, protection of the region, everything related to the contribution of Khmelnytskyi region to the defense of our entire country. There were detailed reports on air defense and electronic warfare in the region at key facilities. We discussed the safety of the Khmelnytskyi Nuclear Power Plant, the overall potential of the energy sector in the region, and the restoration of those facilities that were damaged by Russian strikes.

The key is to do everything at your own level so that our entire Ukraine can achieve the necessary results. I am grateful and proud of everyone who is fighting for our country, everyone who is working to make sure we endure, everyone who is helping. I am proud of Ukraine!

Thank you, Khmelnytskyi, for this day!

Atmospheric and fascinating photos of the public relations service 53 separate mechanized brigade named after Prince Volodymyr Monomakh about tanks that shoot with direct fire in pairs and their crews that go hunting and smash the Russian enemy.

They go to advanced positions and dismantle enemy formations. Shot after shot. Bright flashes, clouds of smoke and trees flying like splinters. Enemy equipment is on fire. And the infantry flees in panic.

The brains and nervous system of these armored vehicles are their indomitable and courageous crews. And it is from them that the effectiveness of the task of maximum losses to the Russian occupiers and the preservation of the lives of their brothers and sisters most often depends.
