🔵 During the past day, 125 combat clashes took place. In total, the enemy launched 2 rocket and 120 air strikes, carried out 89 attacks from rocket salvo systems on the positions of our troops and populated areas.

🔴 At night, the Russian invaders once again attacked Ukraine - they used 13 unmanned aerial vehicles of the "Shahed" type. The forces and means of air defense of Ukraine destroyed 12 of these attack UAVs.

🔵 In the Kupyansk direction, our soldiers repelled 14 attacks in the areas of Sinkivka, Pishchane, and Berestov settlements of the Kharkiv region; Stelmakhivka, Luhansk region.

🔵 In the Lyman direction, the enemy attacked the positions of our defenders 6 times in the areas of the settlements of Nevske, Luhansk region; Novosadove and Torske of Donetsk region.

The situation at the border as of 8:00 a.m May 6, 2024

💥At night and in the morning, the Russians carried out 4 shellings of the border territories and settlements of the Sumy region. 24 explosions were recorded. The territory of the Sumy district, Khotynsk, Bilopolsk, and Esmansk communities came under fire.

Russian Propaganda Heavily Utilizing TikTok

The Brookings Institution published a report on May 2 that found that Kremlin-affiliated actors are increasingly using TikTok to disseminate propaganda and disinformation to foreign audiences.

Brookings Institution fellow Valerie Wirtschafter, citing collected data from Kremlin-affiliated social media accounts, reported not only that Kremlin-affiliated accounts have increased their use of TikTok in 2024, but also that TikTok videos on these accounts are achieving significantly higher engagement rates compared to posts on other social media platforms.

Wirtshafter reported that engagement with Kremlin-affiliated TikTok videos is 3.5 times higher than Kremlin-affiliated posts on Telegram and 20 times higher than posts on X.

Wirtshafter reported that the content of roughly five percent of Kremlin-affiliated Telegram posts is related to US politics, but that the majority of posts about US politics focus on divisive issues.

When Western politicians started discussing the possibility of Western troops in Ukraine, that has created a situation of strategic uncertainty for Russia. The fact itself of discussing sending troops to Ukraine shows how great a threat Russia is considered to civilized countries at the moment and how important it is to stop Putin and not allow Ukraine's defeat.

⚡️Defense Intelligence of Ukraine updated their information:

Group 13 unit of The Ukrainian Ministry of Defense's Defense Intelligence destroyed a Russian Mangust boat in Crimea with the help of a Magura V5 maritime attack drone.

◾️This class of boats is used by the enemy navy and special services as multipurpose high-speed vessels for patrolling the water area, combating saboteurs, as well as search and rescue operations.

◾️ The modified versions of the speedboats are equipped with remote weapon stations with the main organic weapon - a machine gun of 14.5 mm caliber.

◾️On the Mangust board, Russians also have two AGS-17 automatic grenade launchers, a DP-64 hand-held anti-saboteur grenade launcher, and two MANPADS of the Igla or Verba type.

◾️The estimated value of the destroyed Mangust is about $3 million.

Russian media report that the UK ambassador in Russia was called in by the Russian foreign affairs ministry and "warned that the response to the Ukrainian strikes using British weapons on the territory of Russia could be against any British military facilities and equipment on the territory of Ukraine and beyond."
