VOVCHANSK, Ukraine

A city in a fiery pit into which Russian diversion groups are making their way. Covered in smoke from burning houses with the smell of gunpowder in the air. This is not the place to even stop to get out of the car. The photograph does not disguise the sounds and it is difficult to convey the fear that the people who remained there and those who are trying to save them are going through. I can’t believe that this has already happened before and seeing all this I once again catch myself thinking - DEJA VU?

War is very treacherous. It seems to me that here we are misleading, that we have let our guard down and made rash movements.

The SBU detained an FSB agent who was preparing missile strikes on the Rivne region

The security service prevented a series of missile and drone attacks by the aggressor on the military and critical infrastructure of the Rivne region.

As a result of a special operation, an FSB agent was detained in the regional center, who was preparing coordinates for an enemy attack.

While driving his own car, he drove around the city and at the same time recorded possible locations of the Defense Forces on his mobile phone camera.

In this way, the person involved hoped to scout out the locations of potential targets, including military hospitals.

SBU employees received information about the intelligence activity of the agent in advance and documented each of his "steps" step by step.

This made it possible to secure the deployment points of the Defense Forces and to detain the suspect "in the act" when he was conducting reconnaissance near the Ukrainian defenders.

A gadget was seized from the detainee's car, on which he secretly filmed military objects of the Defense Forces.

According to the investigation, the enemy accomplice turned out to be a native of the temporarily occupied Crimea. He had been living in Rivne for a long time, where he was engaged in international transportation of commercial cargo.

Before the start of the full-scale war, the man regularly visited the Ukrainian peninsula, where his relatives stayed. During one of these trips, the figure was recruited by an employee of the occupying "FSB office in Crimea and the city of Sevastopol."

After February 24, 2022, it remotely "activated" its agent to carry out intelligence and subversive activities for the benefit of the Russian Federation.

In addition to pointing Russian missiles at the territory of the Rivne region, he also monitored the movement of military convoys with heavy equipment of the Armed Forces along the highways of the western region.

The perpetrator is in custody. He faces life imprisonment.

The SBU and the National Police detained an official of Ukrzaliznytsia in Kyiv who demanded bribes from entrepreneurs

The Security Service and the National Police, with the assistance of the management of Ukrzaliznytsia, exposed the deputy head of the track service of the regional branch of JSC "Ukrzaliznytsia" in Kyiv for corruption.

According to the case file, the official demanded a bribe of UAH 10 million from the head of the capital's construction company.

For this amount, the official "guaranteed" to hand over 6 hectares of land, which is on the balance sheet of the state-owned enterprise, to the contractor for a long-term lease.

He also promised an "accelerated" procedure for concluding relevant contracts at the level of Ukrzaliznytsia and the Kyiv City State Administration.

In case of refusal to pay the bribe, the official threatened artificial obstacles during the registration of technical passports and permission documents for land lease.

The law enforcement officers arrested the suspect "red handed" while handing him the first part of the illegal gain.

On the basis of the collected evidence, the detainee was notified of suspicion under Part 4 of Article 368 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (acceptance of an offer, promise or receipt of an illegal benefit by an official).

The official is currently in custody. He faces up to 12 years in prison with confiscation of property.

Comprehensive measures were carried out jointly with the National Police under the procedural guidance of the Office of the Prosecutor General.

Good morning Resisters everywhere. This morning I am laying in bed with my ancient cat Leonardo asleep on my chest. I got him in 2015 when the shelter in Branson had a "Senior Cat Day". He still enjoys being in my lap. But I expect that one day soon, he won't be there when I open the door in the morning. He can't manage the kitty door now. Waits for me to open the front door and set food out. The food is primarily for Sammie because Leonardo comes inside to eat.

Zelenskyy comments on Russian PSYOPs and urges Ukrainians to stay calm. Ukrainska Pravda.

President Volodymyr Zelensky urges fellow Ukrainians not to fall to emotions and rumours and to trust the Defence Forces of Ukraine, as the Russian side uses the fear and anxiety of Ukrainian civilians for its own purposes.

Source: the President's evening address

Quote: "Russian PSYOPs (Psychological-informational operations) are always the energy for Russian ground operations. The occupier feeds on lies and the fear that follows the lies. Defensive battles are never easy. And they always become more difficult when the enemy manages to use fear.

So now it is safer not to be led by emotions, not to chase the headline, to double-check every news report, to look for information, not emotions or rumours, and to trust the Ukrainian Defense Forces.

Our warriors know what to do. And we are working with our partners, including our domestic Ukrainian arms production facilities, to ensure that our warriors have what they need to act."

In June, the Riksdag will vote on the government's bill on a military cooperation agreement with the United States, a so-called DCA agreement, which gives the American military the right to use 17 Swedish military bases across the country.

The agreement has been criticized because, unlike in Denmark and Norway, it lacks writings about a ban on nuclear weapons in Sweden. The government believes it is not necessary because there is a parliamentary decision that there should be no nuclear weapons on Swedish territory in peacetime.

In an interview in P1 Morgon on Monday morning, however, Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson (M) opens up that the issue can be reconsidered in the event of war in Sweden.

- In a war situation, it is a completely different matter. Should the very worst happen, the democratic countries in our part of the world must of course be able to defend themselves against countries that could threaten with nuclear weapons, he says and continues:

- But our entire NATO membership and our entire Swedish defense aim to prevent that situation from occurring. If Ukraine had been a member of NATO, they would not have been attacked by Russia.

The reports from the Commander-in-Chief and the Minister of Defense regarding the situation in all the most intense directions. In the Kharkiv region, our counterattacks are ongoing, we've provided reinforcement in that area, in particular, in Vovchansk and the border areas in general. Brigadier General Mykhailo Drapatyi is in charge of this direction directly on the ground, and he is provided with the necessary munitions and forces. Now we are getting more and more results, destroying the occupier's infantry and machinery. I am grateful to all our warriors who are strictly following orders, holding their ground and doing everything to stabilize the situation. At the same time, we understand the enemy's actions and their plan to divert our forces. Of course, we do not leave the Donetsk direction without the necessary support and supplies, namely the Kramatorsk and Pokrovsk sectors. Constant attention is paid to the Kupyansk sector. We also observe hostile activity against Sumy and Chernihiv regions – subversive groups and shelling. We are responding with fire, as we should. Our task is crystal clear – to thwart Russia's attempt to expand the war. The fulfillment of this task depends literally on everyone who is on the ground – from Chernihiv to Vovchansk, from Kharkiv to Donetsk.

There must be no safe place for the occupier on the Ukrainian land. As well as in our sky. Today we are thankful for the downing of the Russian Su-25 in the Donetsk region. Guys from the 110th separate mechanized brigade. Well done, guys!

"A crowd of security forces in Georgia brutally beat a detained protester. After which he is passed through the so-called "caridor", where on the way to the paddy wagon he is kicked and beaten."

This is the price of freedom and democracy. I’ll tell you who doesn’t know, in Georgia there is a rally against the adoption of laws on foreign agents like in Russia, Georgians do not want dictatorship and pressure from the government.
