Please, recommend accounts (๐Ÿ‡ช๐Ÿ‡ธ ๐Ÿ‡ซ๐Ÿ‡ท ๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ‡ง ) that are in the following interests:

- Technology (programming, etc)
- Music (production, dj, etc)
- Gaming (game development, indie games, etc)

I find it quite hard to develop a circle of connections in Mastodon. However, still looks promising.

@adamschock thanks ๐Ÿ˜ I have more tracks coming, you should also share your work!

@adamschock nice house track! I like the progression of the track :) I'll be glad to follow what you share here!

@killyourfm @openmastering done! thanks for the suggestion :) I also saw that @polarity is also here, great

@sonof8bits nice! I wasn't so much into techno but since I discovered Charlotte de Witte I'm really hype about it!

Keep them coming! :D

@abde I've had an extremely bad year so far, but it's almost over and I've made many tracks that I'll release in the coming year. So sit tight, we're going for a ride!

@abde hey I am a Bitwig DAW lover (and certified trainer!), programmer, and addicted to Elden Ring (currently) Nice to meet ya

@sequethin An actual bitwig certified trainer? I love that! Started producing with Ableton and then switched to Bitwig (at the time because I wanted to work on Linux) but then I discovered how intuitive it was, so even better!

Glad to meet you :)

@joshbdoc haha yeah, but it's only a start, I don't have Technics turntables unfortunately.

I think that people should more, is so SO satisfying to beatmatch on those killers

@abde you will have Techs eventually. I didn't start with them either. I agree that it's satisfying to mix on real decks. Also been recently playing on other friend's equipment with their digital controllers - it sure is different.

@joshbdoc The thing is that going digital allows you to go share your mixes with friends, etc... pretty complicated to do with vinyl.

On the other hand, for what I have been told, starting with shitty turntables teaches you how to beatmatch better, as you have to fix the speed constantly ๐Ÿ˜‚

@abde
I'd agree that develop sure a certain vinyl touch from not starting with techs. I also use Serato to control FLACs and mp3s with time-coded records & that has also worked well as long your laptop is decent. My friend's controllers use the same software, so I already know the interface.

I've seen rock these Rane controllers in his stream and I would love to get a pair of these rane.com/twelve-mkii

@joshbdoc Yup, I am also thinking about having a DVS system. I already saw the RANE controllers and I got curious, but maybe I will buy a more conventional controller, I would like to broaden my horizons :P

But those are fire tho

@abde those are definitely fire ๐Ÿ”ฅ I don't know anything about DVS. I had 2 techs and a Rane TTM56 mixer. Just found a video demo'ing this older but solid mixer - vid.puffyan.us/watch?v=P_St49h

Consider picking up a SL3 Serato Scratch Live box to plug in between your turntables and your mixer and then you can play both vinyl and digital tracks. I'm rocking one which works well for me and ya can grab one for cheaper than a digital controller to work into your current setup.

@joshbdoc I heard that some time one don't work with , any experiences with that?

@joshbdoc the boxes are no problem actually, as long as it gives a timecode input and it's compatible with Linux.

What is difficult is that has to reverse engineer the time one of some formats, and I should be careful when I buy the time one vinyls.
