@CorvidCrone I don't find myself in the given answers, but if i understand "reasons upon request" correctly, i must applaud it and it kind of describes which option i am missing.

@rootcompute Well, "not part of the internet" is usually reserved for proprietary stuff, like "use this app or no entry".

My comparison is flaky, i admit, but i would construct it around a company gatekeeping beyond the "this is our website" part. Like google letting you through their capchas when they have enough data on you, not by solving them. (another inaccurracy, since i said "capchas" in general).

I'd call it a walled garden. Just that this one is not one piece, but a cross section. A marbled garden?

Hot take: stuff behind capchas is not part of the internet.

@VeroniqueB99 I thought they killed the people in the igloos for their land. You know, like the americans, just with igloos instead of tents?

@VeroniqueB99 Sounds like a great way to have people associate the restaurant with sadness.

@interfluidity Sounds like a relay race, but the baton is firmly lodged in our collective bum.

@interfluidity
How long do you think until services that do not do anything you never requested automatically are outlawed?

@Inoreader

@the_etrain I'm "i don't know when i last needed to actually do a capcha of that sort" years old.

How long is it that they either wave you through or are absolutely unsolvable, just popping the next until you delivered more browsing data by using other websites?

@catsalad There's something wrong with the checkboxes - when i activate one, the other is deactivated.

@vriska Hmm, by that logic any straight supply chain would need alternating sexes at every step, with positions swapped depending on the end consumer.

At least it would prevent homogenous work environments, those can be problematic ^^

@pluralistic Hmm, i wonder what the likelihood is for this being a medical system so broken that doctors can't doctor properly versus a personal issue.

@vriska I agree that people are often erratic, but i'd expect most to be able to concentrate long enough to splat the squirrel instead of randomly running up a tree.
Ofc those fights would leave ugly wounds on anyone who doesn't get the squirrel instantly, squirrels have sharp claws.

@the_etrain You're in her DMs. I am preparing a notepad and a pencil since technology is breaking down.
We are not the same.
