@TruthSandwich Yeah he's abrasive, extreme, and an asshat, but I dunno what you could report him on other than being an abrasive extreme asshat. I guess that would work on some instances though. Me I'd just block or mute him.

Dear Sir or Madam,

I am sorry to hear of your sadness over your new social media experience. I can't imagine how frustrating it must be to not go viral with the same fucking drivel you posted when you had 30,000 followers.

Much forced cordiality,
H.C. Bunny

@BigEatie I would start by examining syslog and Xorg logs in /var/log/ if there are no errors I dunno what would be next.

@lawmurray I will when I am near a desktop in a few days. I use // for both.

@lawmurray any plans to support doxygen c++ // style docs? Migrating a code base that uses that style would be tough going. Also I don’t like c comment style at all tbh.

@birnim@fosstodon.org @ramin_hal9001@emacs.ch Many of us using emacs ran into the limitations of vim. Myself after literally decades of use of vi derivatives ending in vim. So I think dismissing an emacs user’s opinion on vim and Bram is a bit off base. If you have something constructive to add to the conversation it would be great to hear it.

Trying to imagine what it’s like to be Ron DeSantis and watching your opponent on his THIRD criminal indictment yet continue to lap you in the polls while you focus on critical societal issues like whether Bud Light and AP Psychology are too woke.

A genuine tragedy for this illustrious gentleman.

@freemo This was a very interesting thread, thank you very much for stirring the pot. I tend to think the same as you on this topic so I may be biased, although pretty sure not as wealthy.

Just a reminder, wealth is **not** a zero sum game. If it were we would still be living in caves.

@TruthSandwich It does work with a browser, as I said. That's beside the point, which I thought was that not everyone will be able to read the context of what you write. I can imagine this could lead to misunderstandings. Myself, I will be avoiding this misfeature.

@TruthSandwich Mainly fyi, this particular feature of qoto doesn't work very well it seems.

@TruthSandwich Interesting both metatext and ivory clients render that without the quote text (just the first line). I was wondering what the context was until I looked on the web.
