Since #ParamountPlus makes it impossible to get a screenshot, I went ahead and mocked this up in honor of Gabriel Bell. #startrek #ds9 #bellriots

Here's looking forward to a day when the United States finally faces its ongoing humanitarian crises.

Thur 8/29 Stream: Attempting to program this (hopefully) clever clock delay circuit. It'll be used in my state mode logic analyzer project. Twitch or:

As Raspberry Pi 5 broke pigpio, I implemented bit-banged UART RX in Python using gpiod:
gist.github.com/astuder/c319cf

My application runs at very pedestrian speeds (4800bps), but I'm still shocked this works reliably, even when the Pi is under load. Haven't tried faster speeds yet. #RaspberryPi

Thur 8/22 Stream: Let's do some RP2350 design. I want to upgrade my state-mode logic analyzer. Come say hi.

I definitely feet the mental stress when I realize I could have accomplished more.

@gsuberland Polymers do not have an electrolyte. The polymer replaced it.

PEDOT is typically used. It oxidizes at high temperatures (which increases its ESR.)

While PEDOT caps have a wear-out mechanism, they differ from traditional wet electrolyte-based caps.

A resistor was also trying to make a run for it, but came to its senses.

Pico 2 pinout now documents HSTX pins and - thanks to cfp of PicoScratch - documents the test points - pico2.pinout.xyz

@mmu_man I missed your stream because I was getting ready for mine!

a (human) friend texted me this link with the question “is this real?” and maybe I’ve been in the mountains for too long but it can’t possibly be real, right? Like as a critique or a satire it’s both incisive and clever, but as an earnest attempt at a product it’s just… deeply unhinged?

“When will I receive my friend?”
“Pre-orders will start shipping Q1 2025.”
Questions frequently asked by the utterly deranged. friend.com/product.html

Yellow: Temperature (digital sensor)
Green: Battery Voltage (in ADC) Steps
Blue: Open Voltage Divider (in ADC) Steps

FeatherS3 (ESP32) with custom sensor Wing in a box, in my garden

As the temperature peaks, looks like the ADC (or its ref) is drifting.

Data is cool

I don't normally write or promote Kickstarter projects. However, since this is Particle and they have a proven track record of using crowdfunding successfully, I am comfortable sharing this one.

**Also**, I want one. It's like a mid-range smartphone on a Pi board for $149.

@48kRAM Sometimes, after a boring day of grown-up activities, I eat ice cream (for dinner) and play video games.

Because, when I was a kid, I said I would do that when I grew up.
