Never thought I'd be asking on behalf of #MutualAid, but I think this is a worthy first post.

Opal is a good friend of mine in need of financial support to keep the lights on. She offers technical services under the volatile.bz domain, covering Git, email, XMPP, Matrix, Mumble and a Tor relay.

As a co-op, she accepts donations on OpenCollective: https://opencollective.com/volatile

In future, Volatile hopes to explore Nextcloud and running a fedi instance with custom software. Funds that can be spared would help make these a reality.

Thank you for taking the time to read this. Please consider donating, even if it's just $5.

Whatever you do, do it because it's the right thing to do, according to you.

Don't do it because you expect someone else to thank you. They probably won't thank you anyway.

“A six-year-old project to return giant #tortoises to the wild in #Madagascar could result in thousands of the 350kg megaherbivores re-populating the island for the first time in 600 years.

…Ecologist Grant Joseph explains how reintroducing this tortoise to areas degraded by cattle grazing will help restore the island’s forests, grassy woodlands and shrublands of the past. It could also help prevent devastating forest fires in future.”

> dumb luck by the sounds of it, and you've only had covid once that you know if
the danger compounds with each infection

dumb luck, yes :)

> That isn't "the" thing that makes covid dangerous. That's one of MANY things about covid that makes it dangerous.

what other specific mechanism aside targeting ACE2 does make covid dangerous?

> this is false

to me it seems they've thrown in every trick they could find in an attempt to be particularly clever:

The modRNA sequence of the vaccine is 4,284 nucleotides long.[126] It consists of a five-prime cap; a five prime untranslated region derived from the sequence of human alpha globin; a signal peptide (bases 55–102) and two proline substitutions (K986P and V987P, designated "2P") that cause the spike to adopt a prefusion-stabilized conformation reducing the membrane fusion ability, increasing expression and stimulating neutralizing antibodies;[44][127] a codon-optimized gene of the full-length spike protein of SARS-CoV-2 (bases 103–3879); followed by a three prime untranslated region (bases 3880–4174) combined from AES and mtRNR1 selected for increased protein expression and mRNA stability[128] and a poly(A) tail comprising 30 adenosine residues, a 10-nucleotide linker sequence, and 70 other adenosine residues (bases 4175–4284).[126] The sequence contains no uridine residues; they are replaced by 1-methyl-3'-pseudouridylyl

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pfizer%E

afaik, of interest is the poly alpha tail and the uridine replacement. both are to slow down degradation by cellular mechanisms.

one thing i didn't know is that they put "mtRNR1", mitochondrial dna, into the hodgepodge. seems particularly clever to add into something resembling a virus for the immune system to fight against. no wonder all the people have "fatigue" from "long covid" :ok_figet:

> exactly
you probably have damage to your heart, lungs and other organs and have no idea

lung damage would be pretty obvious, don't you think? let's extrapolate from that: i'm fine 💁

> This is just fucking stupid. The virus doesn't need a 'perfect' entry point. Most mucous membranes, and your lungs/throat/gums will do.

jeff ignoring that the mucosal immune system exists

> cyber-vaccine by people with god complex is science, millions of years of evolution optimizing fighting cold viruses clearly isn't

why are so many vaccinated constantly sick then? why do they have random inflammations which don't heal? why do they have autoimmune shit like thyroid dysfunction? why do they have ultra-aggressive cancers? why don't i have these things?

clearly the cyber-mrna which was engineered to not break down for a very long time can't be responsible. instructing cells to build the very same thing which seems to make covid dangerous, the spike protein targeting ACE2.

while with natural immunity the real virus is detected by all capsoid structures. on the mucus membranes.

> bro, do you even test bro?

i wont create micro-fissures in my nose by rubbing chinese mystery plastic in it if i am not even ill. it's creating a perfect entry point for a virus.

> constant reinfections

haven't had covid for years now. unlike many of the mrna-vaccinated i know who already seem to have decimated their immune system and are constantly sick now :blobshrug:

I'm afraid that any of the technologies from big techs are not for the good of humanity.

@mrsaturday I'm friends with the guy who made that art lol, he has an account here but isn't active.

Truckdriving theory done.
65 questions, min 52 had to be correct, got 61.

Bodily autonomy is sacred. That means I beleive all drugs should be legal without a prescription, abortions legal, and no one should ever be forced to take a vaccine, drug or wear a mask.

@johnabs

And putting fast moving lumps of lead into your body, is IMNSHO also your right, and Russian Roulette (or the Norwegian Roulette with a Beretta) isn't criminal from moral point of view.

Loans; Without a nanny state, not trying to honor contracts would likely lead to being ostracized and death. The lender will take past behavior into account to figure out if the loan is a good thing to provide or not.

@freemo

@johnabs

I agree with @freemo and your examples assumes that "someone" (i.e. the State) have the right to violate my bodily autonomy through Theft of my resources (with the ultimate threat of a fatal violence if I defend myself from such theft) and "give" you my resources to "assist your obesity" by removing some of the consequences of your life style.

So, no; that examples assumes Coercion and doesn't apply.

Vaccines; they are supposed to protect you from infection. Your choice.

@freemo

Damit ICH mich aufreg. :P
