IMPORTANT SERVICE ANNOUNCMENT!

I was informed by severall admins that a s diseas is going around the Fediverse.
Apparently it is called: "German"

It is a Germ that gets into your brain and starts eating the area that is responsbile for language forming and understanding.

The first sign is a broken English called Denglish.
After thet it goes from high german to various dialects (depoending on wich germ you caught).
The last step is Swabian, before you are dying a lonely and painful death, because at this point no one will understand you.

Worts of all: People infected with that Germ doesn't get it that there is something wrong.

So if you encounter a German speaking account warn them about this very dangerous Bakterie!

Danke for listenting!

People taking care of you and you taking care of other people.

Taking good care of yourself is also inside of taking care of other people.

Humans Caring for Humans! It's needed and not to be profited from!

It's all one big care! Seems a bit childish but I love it in many ways!

is now back up and migrated to bigger servers. There shouldnt be any more issues moving forward.

I compared the landing pages of Mastodon, Pleroma and Misskey because I was curious how each characterized itself.

joinmastodon.org: "Mastodon isn’t a single website like Twitter or Facebook, it's a network of thousands of servers operated by different organizations and individuals that provide a seamless social media experience."
→ Mastodon is a network

join.misskey.page: "Misskey is a decentralized microblogging platform born on Earth. Since it exists within the Fediverse (a universe where various social media platforms are organized), it is mutually linked with other social media platforms."
→ Misskey is part of a network

pleroma.social: "Free and open communication for everyone. Pleroma is social networking software compatible with other Fediverse software such as Mastodon, Misskey, Pixelfed and many others. "
→ Pleroma is part of a network

tfw when best place to get help with XMPP is in an XMPP MUC but what you need help with is your XMPP server because it won't start so you can't join the XMPP MUC to get help to fix your XMPP server

The recent Twitter drama restarted the "Fedi admins can read DMs!!!1111111" flamewar.

I think I'm now officially reliving the 1980s and 1990s. This question was discussed to death back on BBS sites. Everything old is new again.

every big company/project with much funding who just joins mastodon.social instead of running their own instance isn't interested in helping the fedi. it's just virtue signalling.

@oros

Disabling the federated and local timeline sure does not help users to discover other instances

@annika @redstarfish

@r000t @MaceDindu They would have learned at some point in the last 10 years if they could learn that lesson. All that kind of thing does is legitimize the fight. There are two types of people: those that want to rule over others, and those that don't want to be ruled by anyone. It's easier to redirect a river than dam it, you know? Pepsi and Coke aren't going to kill each other.

So there's
Tusky for Mastodon
Husky for Pleroma
and Musky for Twitter, right?
