I'm actually out of non-fountain-pen pens and also the last person in the world who regularly writes checks, and a lot of that money is the brand new Tomoe River v3 anyway stop judging me
@braindouche I'm a Zebra F-701 fan. They were insanely durable but the balance and weight were perfect with the fine point. Zebra has really black ink and in the fine point or ultra fine point sizes， it would not smear but remain crisp and easy to read.
Pilot pens and mechanical pencils had their own charms. Pilot reminds me of Zebra, I despise most of the products but there are a handful that weren't a horrible idea.

And yeah those steel zebra bps are pretty sweet. I'd take them over, say, a parker jotter any day.
