Having a smoothie with a vodka base. Vodka's not doing anything to me. This is weird; nowadays, either takes a lot, or takes some very strong alcohol like whisky or vermouth or something like that. Dang. Have I developed a tolerance? If so, then that's not good. after all, alcoholism runs in the family on my mom's side.

@freemo That's interesting. Even though I studied a lot of stuff as requirements in high school, we never bothered really studying the Hebrew and Latin behind it.
@freemo I'm half in the middle. I simply believe what makes sense to me. Just because it wasn't written in a "religious" text (which I'm starting to doubt the truth of those all the time), doesn't mean that it couldn't have happened. In fact, one of my now favourite pastimes is to scour for the holes in organized religion. I'm actually in the process of putting up a web site dedicated to this, so you should find it interesting. A huge question I have been asking for at least the past five years, is where is the Goddess in the Book of Genesis? That's just one example of many questions I have. If you ask me, she was left out on purpose.
@wakest I figured something like this was going to happen; everyone thinks their implementation of the same protocol is the best. And that's just it. Multiple things using the same protocol, bound to cause issues. One of the unfortunate downsides to federation. Not that I criticize the feriverse for existing, for we need it, but it is more likely for arguments like this to spring up in light of the very nature.
@freemo I never thought of it that way, though, to be honest. Seems that there will always be two sides, and never equality between them.
