TIL: There is a cursed color in the Kodak ProPhoto RGB color space which, when converted to sRGB using pre-August-2020-Security-Update Android's image conversion routines, causes an integer overflow and a crash due to a rounding error. Some dude accidentally created an image (https://www.flickr.com/photos/gaurav_agrawal/48746079687/) which contains the cursed color on a single pixel. @mattodon The term probabilistic circuits was invented to unify a family of probabilistic models represented by a circuit and to make the study of their properties easier. Those models often allow interesting inferences to be computed exactly, like marginals. PPLs serve a different purpose but PCs are a valuable backbone for PPLs. There is some work on the latter but it’s rather immature. I’m interested in enabling Bayesian inference in flexible models (NNs, BNP) through PCs.

One thing that Mastodon newcomers may not realize is how easy it is to turn Mastodon for web into essentially a Tweetdeck clone, with columns for search/compose, home, notifications, and any lists you've set up. It takes literally seconds.

Looking at where I am just two years into transition I am absolutely floored. Not really the physical stuff, more the social and presentation stuff. Every few days I have this thought that "3 year ago me would be so proud and surprised".

This particular realization was prompted by painting my toe nails today. Really though, anything I do anymore is so different that I have this thought about almost anything I do anymore.
